Gulutzan even in a win like this baffles but doesn't shock me anymore with his stupidity. LA with extra man goalie pulled face off is in the Flames Zone up 2 goals and what line does he decide to put out the 4th line against the best of LA with the extra man. Gulutzan danced with the devil on that decision and LA predictably overwhelmed that line and scored within the shift. He proved once again he is a dunce of a HC.

This was a huge win and the team steam rolled LA with the confidence that came via hard work and hustle. Unsung hero's like Bennett and Chucky tilted the ice for the Flames. It was a fun night for the fans tonight.
They were out there before the goalie was pulled...then Calgary iced the puck. Its not like GG selected them for that defensive zone FO

I thought the Flames looked like the better team from 10:00 in the first. Mangiapane looks like he has some unreal speed and skating potential. Really fun game, other than some ass clown thinking he deserves my money more than I do.

???? What line iced the puck with the goalie pulled the 4th line did, don't undermine that fact. Who put them he out he did or is "Gully" not the HC.
Gulutzan has been a fool since the first game he coached the Flames with real dumb simple decisions like that.
He has been drawn like a moth to a light to puting the 4th line out at bad times. He can't resist the temptation, he is not a bright hockey coach.

Just love how Tkachuk drives Doughty, and the rest of the kings, Batty!

Funny you mentioned that. A couple of games ago, on a close up shot, it looked as if he was favoring his left shoulder or arm. At the time, I thought maybe he was just lifting, rotating his shoulder, like one does when it's bugging you. ?

I really want to know what's his reasoning for putting the 4th line out there in that situation, and doing it game after game after game. Is he trying to prove he is smarter than everybody?

Great game as it was very entertaining. Flames still almost found away to lose at the end because GG can t manage his bench properly. Wtf was the 4th line doing out there that late in the game. Of course LA would score.

Couldn't have a PGT after a win without complaining I guess. Was hoping for a break from it, for one night.

I thought he was rewarding the 4th line because they player a great game. Probably also tried to get Mangiapane a point. Being up by a couple gives you that luxury.

Heard GG post game scrum and he mentioned they challenged the players after the first and they responded in spades. Top to bottom just a great game. Loved Chucky giving Drew five short cross checks when the puck was along the boards. Drew was none to pleased when he returned to the bench.

Big 2 points and now only 3 points back of the ducks with a couple games in hand. It makes the game vs them on Saturday just huge.

I think the problem is most Flames fans know what’s going to follow this one good game on the 6th

Entertaining game! Only two gripes from me - the slow start by the Flames, and the 4th line being thrown out on the ice near the end of the game.

Other than the above, the Flames played with some pace, and they actually looked really dangerous all night. They won races to pucks, they won puck battles, and they neutralized LA really well. If they continue playing this way, they will find themselves in a playoff spot and be a really dangerous match-up for any team.

Hat's off to Brouwer tonight. I thought he did a great job. Scored and made smart plays all night.

Good point, you're right. There should be complaining in this thread in anticipation of what "most Flames fans know."

Impossible. Once something is made, it can never be unmade.
