On another note, they still haven't really solved the puck-luck/chance-finishing riddle. Instead, they out-chanced the Kings about 3-to-1 in order to squeak out a one goal victory.

Very good game, Flames could have easily won 6-2. Solid 60 minutes.

Wait, I thought the typical GG Flames couldn't come back like Hartley's.

Final score flatters the Kings.

The amount of posts this team has hit is ridiculous.

I really do think we will see the Flames rattle off a bunch of wins now. Its a long season and confidence comes and goes, but I see it starting to gather at the moment.

Leading the league in that category, at least. I mean they have to be, right? I feel like it’s comical at this point.

Ugh useless oot. Flames get a W but the standings don't look any better than they did this morning for some reason.

It's funny, I saw that Stajan had been taken off the penalty kill and I was like "hey, I could get used to this"

And then Stajan is out there killing a 6 on 5.

lol

Brouwer had a really good game

They did that. The best part was the young guys leading the way. Gulutzan needs to trust them and let the greybeards sit on the bench.

Normally I would say it all evens out in the end and because we concentrate pretty much only on Flames games that we dont see it happens everywhere.

But it's true at this point. Its an inconceivable amount of times the goaltender is beat only to clank it off the iron.

If I'm correct its 21 over the last 8 games. That's beyond absurd.

Closed out the game like they should. Continued to press the puck deep into the third, as opposed to the passive retreat in the Chicago game, and the effort produced the desired result. Both teams had chances in the third, but that is what happens when you press. Ultimately the Flames played to win and not just hold a lead. They are both dangerous and fun to watch when they play to that level.
