The kings are excellent at controlling the middle of the ice. The Flames played well, but got no penetration.

Flames simply arent good enough. On paper OR on the ice.

Dont play at a quick pace, make multitudes of poor decisions starting with 2 of their "best" players, are way to reluctant to engage physically for the vast majority of them, and have no push back after giving up a goal.

It’s so sad that this team seemingly has quite a bit of skill, but it doesn’t even come close to the upper echelon teams in the league (I realise LA have missed the playoffs in 2 of their last 3 seasons, but they also won 2 cups in 4 years.)

Howd the old geezer kings suddenly start playing decent hockey again? Seems against the grain of aging teams.

Our finishing ability is quite sad currently. A lot of trying to throw shots through several guys and bad angles and no one there for rebounds. Hamilton can't shoot a puck worth crap any more.
