If the Flames played with the intensity and effort shown by Vegas we would be in a playoff spot.

They could be a case study on forechecking. Absolutely relentless.

Vegas is the top team in the west and almost the league...its not like they are just stealing a wild card spot from someone. Effort is nice and all but its becoming obviously the draft rules went too far and they are actually a good team. Not much for a top end but depth wise they are better than most teams.

I have noticed he really tends to fly the zone early. Unreal talent no doubt but I still fail to see how he’s better than Crosby. Sid is a far more complete player.

Nope, the compete level of the Flames is sporadic at best. Competing hard and losing is fine. Lacklustre compete from a talented group is ####.

I like that the 5m major is being exploited.

In the Vegas games I have watched, (IMO) they have an energy level and compete level higher than othe teams. Yes, they have skill but they are starting from scratch with systems and new teammates.

Pretty massive pick-play on that Nugent-Hopkins chance.
