In my eyes, hopefully Calgary can trade Hamilton for some forward flare. I'm not a big Hamilton fan myself, so that would work.

If a D is traded for a top line rw, then Ferland no longer has a place on this team when Frolik comes back. Heshould be moved to 4th line.

These do not make sense.

If Ferland no longer has a place on this team, he should be moved to the press box, not to the 4th line.

Yup, a guy with 15 goals belongs on the 4th line.

His goal totals have a lot to do with 13

Ferland is a top 9 forward, not a 4th liner. That's all I'm saying.

His goal totals also have a lot to do with his work ethic, speed, hands, quick release, and good decisions on the ice...

Was never a fan of Ability Lack nor the decision to bring him here in the first place. All the best to him in the future, but let's be honest he's an AHL-level goaltender.

You're wrong. If it had so much to do with 13. How come Brouwer and Chiasson were complete and utter failures on the 1st line? And why have Gaudreau and Mony both had improved numbers since Ferland joined the line?

Nice take.
I mean its completely made up and has zero fact behind it but meh facts are overrated. Maybe if you repeat a falsehood enough eventually people will come to believe it.

Correct.
13 has an assist on 53% of his goals.
13 also has an assist on 72% of Monahan's goals.
13 is pretty good.

This argument gets old. I’m sure if u look at how all the players that played with Crosby over the years that offensively they improved or got better.. isn’t that the point?? Fact is Ferly has a legit shot and does have some good hands to go with it too. It’s not like he isn’t bringing anything to the table and it’s only #13 who is stirring the drink to any goals Ferly is in on.

I get all the hate for the coaching staff of late; this team has been frustrating no doubt, but comments like these are just as frustrating because it’s unfairly taking shots at the true ability of some players. Ferland is in the top 6 on at least a half a dozen teams in this league and on the third line for the rest and it’s as simple as that. He’s not a fourth liner at this time though when he starts coming down from his peak in 3 to 4 years he will be a phenomenal player at that role again when the time comes for him to play that in his career down the road.

Per the AHL site, G Tyler Parsons has been reassigned to the Stockton Heat (AHL). Presumably Mason McDonald will be sent back to Kansas City soon. #Flames

Important thing to remember is Gully plays the crap out of a completely terrible 4th line right now. Much more-so than other teams do, which effectively means our 4th line isn't really used as a traditional 4th line. 5v5, Gully rolls all his lines. So Ferly being on the 4th line really wouldn't be a bad thing (...unless of course Brouwer is there too).

Mangiapane - Stajan/Lazar - Ferland

That's a "4th line" I could get on board with.

Young goalie gets his first taste of Pro Hockey in the "E." Worked out some earlier adjustments.

Looking forward to the Gillies/Parsons dynamic in Stockton. I think the Flames have two very promising twine-tenders. And don't discount Rittich!
