Well, this team desperately needs scoring now that the 1st line has vanished into thin air, and neither of those two offer any scoring prowess. Seems like a pretty good opportunity to reward Mangiapane for an excellent performance last game.

At this point moral victories are useless. Winning is all I care about, I don't care how good or bad they look while doing it. Just win.

If the Flames come out stale, I'd hope the lines get shaken up a bit...
Bennett - Monahan - Jagr
Gaudreau - Backlund - Ferland
Tkachuk - Jankowski - Lazar
Brouwer - Stajan - Hathaway
Giordano - Brodie
Stone - Hamilton
Kulak - Hamonic

Blah. Win me back Flames.
Please find another gear. Let's do more than flirt with the wildcard.

The defense pairings have been good for the last 3 weeks. They do not need to be touched. As well as Janko/Bennett/Hathaway.

Sorry - Jagr is a legend - but he is way too slow now to keep up with the game. No business being on the first line.

Jagr is truly the least of this team's worries. He has done fine every time he's been in the lineup.

That's what happens when a player meets or exceeds expectations.

Looks like it will be a dog fight for the wild card spots. As such, only games VS the east and perhaps Vegas/coyotes are less crucial.

Tkachuk Backlund Jagr
Bennett Jankowski Hathaway
Lazar Stajan Brouwer

Glen Gulutzan – Don’t know what to expect. But it looks like the tunnel is a lot longer and there may not be a light in the end.

Ha! I love this post. Had to fix the weird formatting though in my quote. I'm pretty much in agreement with all of this. My reaction to GG hockey is often closest to my reaction to Brent Sutter hockey - "oh no, they're going to find a way to lose"

Mentioned this last night...from my research, last time Flames won 2 in a row in ANA was 1996. That spanned two seasons, one win in January, the next October.
The last time the Flames won twice in the same season at the Pond was 1994, ANA's second year in the league. Feb and then April 11 1994.
Kelly Kisio got an assist on the GWG.

We will score five PP goals tonight. Count on it. Cameron's contract will be extended to Jan 1 2018
