Was mostly even until half way through the 3rd, for whatever reason the Flames sat back and of course we saw the "sure thing" plugs closing out the period.

That was a pretty good game by CGY. Lots of good play against a strong opponent. However they should've won (leading after two) and then overtime.

Sportsnet panel is correct. Johnny and Monahan have 2-1 in ot and can't deliver. Twice. They get the most ice time and are not getting it done.

no kidding...Sharks pulled the potential 3-1 goal off the goal line as it was about to roll in and Jones made a ridiculous save in OT.

If anything the Flames deserved better

Realistically it was a close game that could have gone either way...in reality it was a tie

Gaudreau had a goal the last game that went to a SO

That's GG's system. Play conservative and sit back

It’s an even game, and they went into a coin flip situation. That’s 50/50 hockey all night long, and when you get to OT/Shootout and you lose, you deserved to lose.

Instead of pushing the pace in the 3rd, the Sharks dictated the play.

This is 50/50 hockey.

So we had a pretty quiet game thread where people were mostly happy with the effort, and suddenly the PGT is all gloom and doom and blah blah? What the heck is going on here? People just waiting around to snipe?

Flames deserved to lose this one. Move on to Anaheim tomorrow, but losing that point to the Sharks stings.
2nd period was fine - not sure what wasn't to like about it. Good road game. They sat back too much at times in the 3rd, but give the Sharx credit for coming on pretty strong. Bit of a fluke goal to tie, but they set the same shot up time and again - sooner or later it's got to work.

More valuable points slipping away again. Liked the first but wasn’t a fan of much of the rest.

I'm resigned to the fact that under Gulutzan this is a .500 hockey club give or take a few.

Outplayed the Sharks and some bad bounces of the puck prevented them from finishing in Ot, and I do think Monahan is hurt a bit, but bottom line is that’s at least 3 points they gifted the Sharks the last 2 games by not finishing them when they are there for taking.

And Backlund who has never scored a shootout goal? And a potentially hurt Monahan?

I must be getting cynical. I thought we got outplayed badly after the first 15 minutes.

And when did this team become boring?
