I'm hoping that they can continue their better play on the road.

They are falling further and further behind in the playoff race, and it's getting close to becoming crunch time. They have 2 divisional games here and I think they need at least 3 points to begin working their way back into the race.

Here's hoping.

Hopefully this will be a defining roadtrip for the Flames. Drop both B2B with the same uninspired and Gully has to go.

Massive 8 pts up for grabs in these two games.

This is the first time in years that i'm not estatic that the flames are back from break. I still watch every game but like others have said, they are boring and inconsistent. The coach is dull, boring and his unwillingness to make changes drives me crazy. Same boring lines again which has struggled for offense in the last month, but lets keep then together. We have a competent backup, but lets play smith to the ground. I used to watch all of hartleys post games, but not his. Emotionless on the bench and only calls.

Edm has caught up to us and is only 3 pts behind now. That's sad.

Mildly interesting how similar the Flames record is at the Christmas break the last few years. This is tied with 14-15 with the best record the Flames have had at the break in the past 4 years:

2017-18 - 18-15-3
2016-17 - 18-16-2
2015-16 - 16-16-2
2014-15 - 18-15-3

The non-stop mediocre, stuck in the middle, always a bubble team, being the peak of the flames progression seems fitting over the past few decades.

Another year, and here we are, trying to squint to see positives of the best record at the break the flames have had in 4 seasons, which is still a pretty middling 0.541 point %.

Such progression under Gulutzan.

If Flames keep losing, at least he'll have to be gone and the season could be salvaged. Right?

Strange.. don’t they charter out of the Shell lounge? Pretty certain they do and never step foot in the actual airport.

It's a road game, so I'm guessing they might actually win this one.

3-2 Flames.

It's way to early to throw out terms like "must win" but this is an important games. I'd much rather lose to the Habs like we did on the 23rd than lose this one.

The Sharks are a team that we will be fighting for a playoff spot. This one is real important and the team must be ready on time for this one.
