Yes. He shouldn't make it into January. His use of players is ridiculous.

Unless special teams are fixed, a bench of Bowman and Arbour wouldn't consistently win in this league.I don't know how you fix special teams. This team should be good at this. Do start there. Fire those guys

When Tre let Hartley go after 2 seasons he said he had taken the team as far as he could. We saw growth under Hartley.
After 2 seasons of GG we have seen nothing but frustration. I think GG has taken the team nowhere. Time to move on.

Only if they have a better replacement lined up. The fact that Darryl Sutter doesn't have a team yet suggests to me that he probably isn't interested in coaching. I would replace GG with Sutter 100%. I'm not replacing him with Dave Cameron.

I voted yes, but am also of the mind that you only let him go if there is a suitable replacement already.

Too bad the Rangers turned it around earlier this season. Vigneault would be a perfect fit.

Hired the wrong GG. Wish we had snagged Gallant. Gulutzen is just meh. He’s not a terrible coach, he’s just middling, and I don’t care for his decision making and lack of drive behind the bench.

Well he did go from lottery team to a PO team. Whereas Hartley went from a lottery team to a PO team to a lottery team. I don't know how much growth you could say occurred under Hartley.

Yes. If Smith wasn't here GG would be already fired in November.

I voted no, but I wouldn't necessarily be upset if he did get fired. Highly unlikely he gets fired during the season, but if he does then most likely an assistant coach will take over.
I think most fans are irrational and think the coach should be fired if the lineup isn't set exactly the same way they would do it.

Probably because nepotism runs high with Treliving. Everyone he’s brought into the organization is from Phoenix or past endeavours. I imagine much like Feaster with Hartley that Treliving had Gulutzan pencilled in from day one as his guy. I also have little doubt that he’s got Tippett on speed dial. I realize well that plenty of organizations operate in this manner but really 3/4 the teams in this league never accomplish anything either. I just wish the best guy would get considered rather than the best buddy for such important positions.

I would agree if you said this a year ago. The sample size is big enough to see that this coach has plateaued. Sometimes coaches are removed for good reasons.

I myself see no reason to keep this coaching staff. I have zero faith in them and their record to date (flames or pre flames) suggests there is no miracle coming our way.

I said it earlier, people that go after coaches like Vigneault, Quenneville, Sullivan etc need to be more patient, sure, they are irrational at times. But thats because these coaches had brought it in the past. GG never has so I just don't see what we are supposed to hold out hope for here.

There are not a lot of guys on this team that will be motivated by a demanding coach like Sutter.
Pretty sure that GG is not telling them to avoid physical contact.

There are a very few guys in the locker room that are not financial set for life and would catch on as support players for winning/over achieving teams teams.

Far too many Lady Byng candidates that have important roles on the team.

Hard to find a core player on the Flames that would try to inspire the team by playing physical or fighting.

Bennett, Tkachuk, Gio, Ferland. Janko has had flashes in his short stint.
