Is it sad that I look forward to seeing what former NHL'ers are on this list every year?

I don't know how the rosters look historically, is it regular to have only 2 Goalies on the list?

I miss the good ole days where Hnat Domenichelli was a fixture at the Spengler Cup.

Barry Brust played some games between the pipes for the Abbotsford Heat a few years ago as well.

Mason Raymond! Can we ship Jim Hughson out there to call the games?

Fixed - Hughson is fine when he's not calling Canucks game, Romanuk is just plain terrible period.

Not the worst group they have sent over there.

Some pretty good players on that list.

And the other goalie Kevin Poulin played for part of one season in Stockton, and was Flames property for one season.

Poulin was in Stockton a couple of seasons ago too.

That's a large coaching staff for a 4 game tournament to the final. And 2 therapists? I'm assuming they are not shrinks even though a massage therapist is referenced right under.

I think this is battle for the 3rd string goalies for team Canada at the Olympics

I think Scrivins is a lock
Justin Peters has played very well
3rd looks like it's Kevin Poulins spot to lose. If Barry Brust can come in and have a strong performance at the Spengler he could make the Olympic team

Yeah I agree.

I think it would be a great trip to head over and see the tourney some day.

I remember the Flames beating the Kings when Brust was in net that one season.

You might be thinking of Danny Taylor, who shared the net with Brust in Abbottsford during the lockout season. Taylor got signed and called up to the Flames when Kipper got injured but Brust never got an NHL contract.

Not sure what either of you are getting at but Romanuk works for Rogers and TSN has the Spengler Cup.
