See? You're not the only one who can do that.
This is what he said:

"You know, in 10 years on this site, I've never made use of the Ignore function. Not one time. This season, with all the experts on how we need to fire GG and his staff, I finally put it to work."

So it seems to me that if you think GG isn't doing a good job and needs to be fired, you should be put on the ignore list. Maybe that's not what he meant, but it's how it came across. Also, note the sarcastic use of "experts". Apparently, we who are not fans of GG (to put it lightly) have no knowledge of hockey...Ok, then.

It's time for him to retire and he's waaaayy overpaid, but I've never liked to rag on Stajan. He's such a likable guy.

The thread for non-stop complaining about Gulutzan is over here:

The way some people spam every single bloody topic with this obsessive gritching, I'm liable to put them on ignore myself. And I have only ever ignored about two people on this board, and one of them was Moon. You're not covering yourself in glory with the company you keep.

I'm pretty sure people could post the odd complaint or comment about GG and it wouldn't matter to him. But there's a few that are broken records on this stuff, and it sure cleans up the old game thread when those posts are invisible.

If I ignored everyone who obsessively called out gg in every single post they made on cp for the last few months, there would only be about 4 posters to talk to on this site

It’s something you gotta deal with as a fan of a Canadian hockey team

nice to see the flames pot some goals and play solid defensively all in the same game.

Bennett/Jankowski are easily moving to becoming the 2nd scoring line on this team which is great news!

Rittich has been really really solid in all of his starts.

It would be great if they can carry this offensive/defensive/goaltending momentum and get at least 3 points out of the next 2 home games, go into the xmas break on a real positive note, and maybe even sitting in a playoff position.

I think Jankowski will certainly be better than he is now, but I'd caution against betting a 23 year old has much more to show. I think he could end up a decent secondary scoring threat and improve his defence to become a reliable 2 way player as he's very smart out there. No Nieuwendyk though.

What's really exciting to me is the chemistry between he and Bennett. That gives us Johnny/Monahan, Backlund/Frolik, Jankowski/Bennett with real solid options on the right to move around. That's a far better situation than before

Interesting. By the eye test, I've been thinking the Jankowski line might be our 2nd line - and these stats would support giving them that kind of utilization and making the Backlund line a classic shutdown third line.

The beauty of these pairings is that you still have Tkachuk that can play with any of those lines and still make an impact on the game.

Line 1 to make space for Johnny/Mony, line 2 to add a scoring threat, and line 3 to be an energy/cycle line.

Frolik is on the right already but I agree with you. I'm happy going ahead with the present top 3 line C/LW group and mixing and matching Ferland, Frolik, Hathaway (or a kid like Mangiapane or Dube) on the third line right side and not signing an overpriced RW.

This is how they've been going lately under GG I think. Backlund has been given all the tough assignments, which is one reason why their production has been a little off lately.

Jankowski now has as many goals as Frolik and is only 1 behind Tkachuk and Backlund. He has also played 8 fewer games than Frolik and Backlund and 6 fewer than Tkachuk (thanks, suspensions).

The Backlund line has been buried for two full years now already
