Ritiich has a tough job staying sharp as a back up that plays every 2 weeks. But he has the focus to do it. He seems like he well liked and has some edge...stick sandwich anyone.

Found it interesting late in the game when Jagr called for a pass where Stajan would normally dump and chase. This turned into a couple great chances, and might rub off on some others.

I am so tired of hearing this crap. Most want people on this board to stop whining about GG and his staff.

Rittich is fast becoming one of my favourites on the team -- incredibly cool, confident, and poised. Love that he doesn't show any sign of nerves -- just goes out and stops pucks. Really seizing his opportunity with the Flames; he gives a great interview as well (despite his English not being 100%).

It's funny when you look back to 2009 and we were wondering if all of Regehr, Phaneuf, and Bouwmeester would make the Canadian Olympic team. Mark Giordano was also on that team and a case might be made in retrospect that he was the best of all when once each has finally hung up the skates.

Reggie and Gio are apples and oranges. Reggie was the best stay at home defenseman in the league at his best. Opposition forwards were scared to come in to The Tunnel of Death .
Gio is an offensive dman who's also amazing in his own zone. His work ethic is second to none, and hell, his ascention to the NHL is a story unto it's self. In no universe can I pick one over the other.

I think Gio's a clear tier above Reggie and Dion. While I would take him over Bo in a heartbeat, Gio can't come close to Bouwmeester's international resume.
2x Olympic team member - 1 gold
2x World Cup winner - I believe he's the only person to win this particular event twice.
3x WJC - including as a 16 year old.
Now with that said, I'm seeing Bo has 49 playoff games under his belt and has 6 points. He's -8.

Wish we were able to watch this game. Christmas party at the bosses. Saw the highlights when we got home it looked like the Flames played out of their minds tonight. Impressive stats against the hated division rival. Well done road warriors. 2 big points earned, now do this at home!

But my post wasn't directed to him or you. Maybe one day all Flames fans will agree on something and we can all get along.

Funny thing is, I think the Flames played pretty much the same game as the Predators game but the lesser quality of competition was the difference. When Boeser went down, the Canucks' spirit was demonstrably crushed... and the Flames jumped on them. They really showed some killer instinct tonight.

After going pointless in the first 15 games, Bennett now has 15 points in 19 games. 12 points in the last 11.
Nice to see him turn it around after a tough start to the season.

Jagr made that 4th line watchable. Stajan and Brouwer played solid games because they allowed Jagr to dictate the play. Really enjoy watching Jagr make everyone better.
