Who ever thought it would be a good idea to let 14 year olds with no broadcasting experience talk on a post game panel? Horrible television.

Not a sleight against Smith, he’s been great most nights but Rittich should get a string of starts. Composed, tracks pucks extremely well, good reflexes, positionally sound. Everything you want in a ‘tender.

Beyond happy for Bennett after all the criticism he was facing early.

The awful PP has without question cost us at least 6 points this year. Amazing what happens when it looked like the abandoned the PP system and tried a down low play. Fix the PP by changing it not sticking to it and this team can become a force again.
That is the type of game Bennett would have had the day after we traded him. The Bennett Janko combo was deadly the both could of had multiple goals.

Can we please do this to the Oilers?? Mcdavid makes the greatest shot block of all time that leads to a broken foot, Flames go on to win 6-1

Northern Pikes and Kevin Lowe on the next Hometown Hockey. Tier 2 band. Both were last relevant in 1991.
And, more shots of tears from Smyth too.

And the last photo from the rink is Boeser on crutches. Total domination by the Flames and their takeaway was an injury...to the opposition.

This game could've been a double digits - 1 win. No help was needed from the 1st line nor Backs & Frolik, 3rd line dominanting, and even a done Stajan could've had 2 goals.

That says everything about how comprehensive this win was.

-Gio on the PP makes a difference, but obviously there's still a long ways to go. Janko looks like a great player, but doesn't look too dangerous on the PP so far
-Mony has not looked like himself for a while, and missed a few golden opportunities today too
-Hamonic looked solid tonight
I agree about Monny, he has not seemed right since he missed the open net against Minnesota. I can see Janko being the back door player on the one timer. He is a big target for Johnny to find across the ice.

@StatsCentre
Mark Giordano passes Dion Phaneuf & Phil Housley for the 4th most multi-goal games by a defenceman in @NHLFlames history (5)

Giordano also has tied Robert Reichel for 14th on the Calgary #Flames all-time scoring list (since 1980-81 move from Atlanta) with 354 career points

Lol at that ATL rant about the broadcasters focusing on us. Guess it’s like refs where every fan base feels they get the short end of the stick

The PP units at the ends was what I've been wanting to see for ages. Finally good to see us net one. The defense plays so much better and tighter when they know Riitchh is a rookie behind them. Smith has been looking a bit tired so would be nice to see Riitch get a few games in .

What are you talking about man, The Northern Pikes rock dude, also one of the best live small venue shows that I've ever seen, and they can shoot lasers off of Lowe's bald spot for some awesome lighting effects.

Spoiler!

Just what the doctor ordered. Dominating performance by the Flames. But I would have been disappointed if they didn't dominate, given how decimated by injuries the Canucks are.

I thought that was Gio's best game of the season. He owned both ends of the ice and dictated the pace of the game. Phenomenal performance by the captain.

Rittich has a wicked glove hand and looks to be solidly entrenched as the backup. Would love to see him get the chance to go on a bit of a run and give Smith more breaks.

The Canucks might use their injuries as a major reason for the loss, but they are so guilty of overpassing the puck like the Flames are. So many up close chances, and they would either swing wide or try a cross ice pass. I would be frustrated if I was a Canuck fan.

Also, #### the NHL Gamecentre player. POS video player.
