-I love that the loss of a rookie apparently completely derailed the Nucks
-Rittich continues to look like a legit NHL goaltender. What a breath of fresh air
-Bennett continues to look like he's feeling it. Aggressive on loose pucks
-Gio on the PP makes a difference, but obviously there's still a long ways to go. Janko looks like a great player, but doesn't look too dangerous on the PP so far
-Mony has not looked like himself for a while, and missed a few golden opportunities today too
-Hamonic looked solid tonight

Flames came out of the gate strong and continued to stick with it for the entire game. Rittich looked great, and the PP finally converted. Lots to be happy about tonight. Loved how the team kept pouring it on even with the huge lead.
Wednesday's game against the Blues scares the hell out of me, but if the Flames keep playing the way they have over the last few games, I think they'll be ok. Hopefully tonight's game sparks a winning streak.
Flames with a tough loss against Nashville, then hop on the plane for an early start-time the next afternoon in VanCity.....starting a backup goalie....sure the Canucks are banged up....but this game would seem to set up for them....but the great unknown is Markstrom.....if he's good they should take it....but if a soft one goes in for the first goal of the game, look out!

I know these commentators are flames fans and everything, but can they... like.... figure out how to be proper Commentators? Everything they do is flames trivia and then they miss something on the ice.
Flames penalty, "Gee Wizz, I don't know of that's a good call, you can clearly see that this is a clean play and I think the ref is on the wrong". The cameras then proceed to only show angles where they look right and cut away from the ones that reveal the truth.
Canucks Penalty, "Yeah so I was benching 20 pounds and It was pret- oh, Daniel Sedin is heading to the box and it looks like the right call, he's been in the league for so long he has to know better than That". The camera shows how the commentators are wrong but it doesn't matter to them.

This team was overdue for a laugher. They had been playing well ever since the Edmonton debacle, but the results weren't seen on the scoreboard. They made up for it somewhat tonight. I hope this just helps them to relax a little, but not too much. They need that fire in their belly going forward.
I hope this is the start of a big win streak. We shall see, but the team is finally playing the way they should, so results should follow.
