Haven't read any of this thread, but I just have to pop in and say this:
I'm impressed by Kulak, especially tonight. He's been 2 steps ahead of every play, and is making great plays at both ends of the ice. I don't know what finally clicked for this guy, but not only is he an NHLer long term, he might be a top 4 defenseman in a year or two.

Giordano is showing what on-ice leadership looks like right now.

Honestly, it's very unique.
I can't think of another defenceman that loads up and just slides into the position he wants while the shot is "spring-loaded" like that.
He doesn't walk the line as much as he used to, but he gets the shot ready and moves around shotblockers so well.

Even at the start of this season I thought he and Wotherspoon were probably on their last legs with the franchise. He wasn't particularly impressive in camp, at least to me, but made the team out of camp and has looked better and better since. Guess that's why I'm not the coach. :P

Sedins against Brodie is a nightmare matchup for the Flames - need to avoid it as much as possible

Good job breaking up the play, whoever the defenceman back was.

So he got clipped with a stick and couldnt get up until the whistle blew?
Ugh. So much of this crap making its way into the game.

You know, if I didn't have years of well-earned hatred for the Canucks, especially for all the d-bags they employed over the years...I might actually feel sorry for their current injury situation.

The way it comes off the stick, it reminds me of Iggy. So much velocity with such little effort.

I don't think the thread's been that bad. It's been really positive at least so far. It's nice when the team plays a mostly complete game.
