Well, the team has lost it's way through a relatively easy part of the schedule, so knowing them I guess this will be another crappy loss and then they'll go on a tear over the course of the next month of difficult and crucial games.

That's 2/3 of their top line and half of their top four D... and it was a bad team even when healthy.
Yup, if the Flames can't win this game that should be the nail in the coaching staff's coffin.

Looking at it that way, it certainly won't get any less brutal. I suppose it was a bad thing losing to the Oilers and Flyers and dropping all those games where they deserved the win. Tonight's game has all the potential to become another terrible loss we can less than fondly look back on as a game that rendered a tough win down the road meaningless if they can't stop the slide.

And yet, here they are with a record almost identical to the Flames:
Flames 33 GP 16/14/3 - 35 pts
'Nucks 33 GP 15/14/4 - 34 pts

Which either tells you how crappy the Flames are, or how well Vancouver is being coached and overperforming for what they have on the ice.

Flames own this game from opening face off to closing horn. Out chance out work and out hit the Canucks.

Flames also lose 3-0 cause that's just how this season has been.

Flames win. Jager scores, Johnny has a 3 point game.
However Flames continue with PPD “power play disfunction”

Flames will win and score on the PP. this will extend the leash on GG and Cameron so that we can endure another 3-5-2 stretch and have to suffer with this PP for even longer..

That bad team was ahead of Calgary in the standings when it was healthy

Just win.... After that horrendous homestand, getting whoopee by the leafs then the oilers, it felt like this team was hitting rock bottom. They have supposedly turned it around, yet have only won 2 of 7 games since the oilers game (2-3-2).

For all that supposed improvement, the flames have actually got little positive results as far as W's are concerned.

At this point it doesn't look like they'll be sitting in a playoff spot come new years. How far they could drop out of the hunt has to be concerning.

Flames win 3-1 on the back of a gutsy finish after going down 1-0 with 10 seconds left in the 1st immediately after pooping away two PP opportunities.

The team continues to get 0 help from the PP for the rest of the game and Cameron is fired in the morning despite the W.

I think the Flames play a solid game backed by a steady Rittich and pull out a close win.

Travel wise it certainly gets easier...the last couple weeks have been like nothing I have ever seen in terms of the travel.

What team plays 3 games in four nights with one 2 being out east and one out west? home for one, road for one, home for one, road for one

Leafs come here for seven days and play 3 games then get a few days off
