Well, that was a pretty awful first 12 minutes, but thankfully they got going for the remainder of the period.

It's a good thing the Flames tied it, because that was easily one of the worst periods I've seen this team play. Hopefully they're fully awake now. Need a much better effort in the 2nd.

Well, 4th line did the thing they were supposed to do. give the team some energy, they scored a beauty goal doing so.
Not sure why the Flames look so dopey at home. they arent paying attention, they're lolligagging , half assing their playmaking. only guy who really come in 100% ready to go is the goalie.

Still a good period overall. Generating lots of chances. Eventually the floodgates must open.

Canucks were able to get substantial zone time that period. Flames need to transition much much faster. Flames sometimes look hesitant going after pucks in d zone. Lots of thinking and subsequently slow play. I don't understand how it's not instinctual and why the defend so slow.

What is this? Someone talking about the game.
....I have no idea why Calgary looks so tepid at home very frustrating.

The Canucks always had a guy on the halfwall on every Flames breakout with a very active stick, and they were able to break up the play 9/10 times. They did their homework.

They have to be able to adjust against that. Have the centre swing down low and carry it out
