The Flames are 3-2-2 against Vancouver since Gulutzan took over.
Vancouver's two regulation wins were the result of strong performances from their goalies.
Last season, the Flames outshot the Nucks, 46-13 and lost 4-2. This year's game wasn't quite as lopsided, but the final shots were still 32-21 for Calgary.
Is there anything the coach can do in games like that to turn the results around?

The flames have looked pretty stable in the last 2 games, which is a stark contrast to what they have been for the remainder of the season.
If they carry the defensive play from these last 2 games forward, they should win more games than they lose.
Big 4 point game against a divisional rival who they can jump over in the standings with a W.

5-4-1 doesn't look too bad until you compare the line-ups each team ices

Not a fan of Brouwer on the PP, just hope goes straight to the net and provides a screen, he’s okay if he’s just doing that and not trying to be a playmaker.

Per Gulutzan, Jagr's still day to day but he won't be skating the next couple days. #Flames

You have to wonder at what point they just put Jagr on IR and call up Mangiapane/Hrivik/Klimchuk?

Doesnt surprise me, the guy got no Training Camp or Pre-season and has been pretty candid about saving himself for the end of the season and playoffs.
No problem.

It’s such a simple change. Putting a dangerous slapshot on the point is not only a weapon, but it also makes the opposition respect point coverage more which then opens up space down low.

In favour of who? F. Hamilton? No thanks. With Jagr out, that's their best line up.

Brouwer has been quietly effective this year, IMO. I have zero problem with him on the fourth line.

Except he gets paid a lot for the 4th line.

I'd rather move Ferland back to the net-front spot and put Jankowski in Versteeg's spot in the umbrella. As far as I can tell the main reason Brouwer's on the ice is to have a righty skating with Gaudreau on the zone entry, but I'd rather just learn how to make it work with two lefties.
