Flames players visit to the Children Hospital

#FlashbackFriday to our visit last week at the @ACHFKIDS where our plays had the incredible honour of meeting Clare. She was kind enough to provide the guys with #beclarecourageous wristbands in support of @AccessibleYYC.

Great to see some of the Flames' vets participating in the community, they always seem to be there and great at it. I see Brouwer, Stajan, Smith, Gio... awesome stuff.

My daughter is a nurse there, and was about to see a few flames when the kid she was with lost her ####e. Needless to say the players left the scene asap.

A few weeks back I attended a funeral for the daughter of some friends of ours. She had grown quite close to both Hamiltons via the Children's Hospital, so the Flames played a big role at the event. Throughout the whole arena debacle my general attitude has been in the realm of "whatever happens happens, and if they leave I won't be too bothered", but being reminded how much community work the team does was a bit eye opening.

God i hope they figure out a way to solve this arena issue. I don't live in Calgary anymore, but these players and the team's involvement with community is so important. I love seeing those little faces.
