Last time they had two players in the top 5 in either category was 88-89 when Mullen and Neiuwendyk tied for 5th in goals. The Flames have never finished a season with one top 5 goal scorer and a different player top 5 in points.
So GG good coach again?

@DarrenWHaynes
Sean Monahan has 25 career GWG, tying him with Lanny McDonald for 6th on the #Flames all-time list. The five guys ahead are Jarome Iginla (83) and four guys from the 1989 Stanley Cup team -- Fleury (53), Nieuwendyk (43), Mullen (33), Roberts (27).

Most importantly, he's 23.

Pretty remarkable.

Flames 3 Habs 2 (OT)

- Monahan with the OT winner yet again
- Rittich solid in his second start
- Hathaway a suitable bottom sixer
- Gulutzan wins a challenge!

Monahan is only 3 points back of McDavid. Him and Gaudreau have really taken off this year.

Even more remarkable: he's a garbage man.

I'm sure there is some truth to this, but I at least hope Troy Brouwer stays away from this site for the time being.

What is Johnny doing? Why is he spooning up against Monahan trying to hide from the pile?

Don't look now but Monahan is tied for 3rd with Tavares for goal and 2 back from kucherov.

Not a elite centre my ass.

Monahan usually gets most of his production in the second half of the season. If that’s the case this year, bloody hell!
