My apologies if already posted.
@SNstats
In just his 348th career game, #Flames Sean Monahan becomes the fastest player in NHL history to score 9 career OT winning goals

Rittich did a great job tonight and made big saves when he had to. I have no doubt in my mind that he has at least solid backup potential. He reminds me of Kipper with how cool he is.
Not surprising Hathaway scored tonight - I think he was the most tenacious Flame out there.
Good game by the Flames.

No no no, the Treliving is a genius crew has been telling us all year that Hathaway wouldn't make any difference.

Who cares to question number 1. Gradually working these young guys in is the best way to do it. Now they are fixtures and that's how you supplant the vets. This team will have 4 full-time rookies on it, which is a big number.

What people said was that Hathaway wasn't good in camp. I know I was impressed that he kept up his production in the A after Jankowski left.

I'm okay with this, You have to win more road games in the playoffs. Just get a bit better at home and boom, cinderella season.
EDIT: Now is that two straight wins for a Flames goalie not named Mike Smith? Rittich mah man!
|
I think Rittich has been great, but he was the goalie of record in the Edmonton loss. He is 2-1 on the season now.

That was a tough one, the Flames out scored the Oil 4-2 when he was in, and he gets the loss
But it was two games in a row not started by Smith

He is 2-0 in his starts, though.

Exactly. Glass was signed because no one deserved to take his spot in camp or preseason. Flames management were pretty honest in saying that they were pretty disappointed that no one stepped up to take the job away from him. Good on Hathaway for responding the right way and earning his spot now, but the spot was there for him to start the year and he didn't take it. Let's hope he doesn't make that mistake again
