I yelled at the tv when I saw that. His line mate sends it behind the net and he literally skates away from where it is obviously headed. Dumb ####

Not the most exciting game, but I kinda enjoyed it. Pretty structured and careful for the most part - not too many giveaways - at least not in super-dangerous places.
Brouwer needs to be used a LOT less; I get why he's there, but the puck just dies on his stick too often, or he loses it or tires out too fast....just not what the Flames need except maybe on the fourth line.
REALLY liked Hamonic's game tonight: steady and ready, bailed out guys a few times -- looking more like what we expected, and a few decent rushes up ice.
Rittich was good; crappy bounce on the first goal - not much chance on the second. Kept his focus and played solidly. If he can get on a roll, Smith can play a bit less and maybe stay in better condition mentally.
And Gully won a challenge!! Didn't seem like he was going to challenge at first. Glad he did - that was a no-brainer, but I figured that Kozari would call it a no-goal on review just to save his bacon. Maybe Toronto called it?

I see from the scoresheet that the 4th line barely played.
How was those guys play tonight?

Not as good as the Leafs game but not horrible. Lazar and Brouwer were hitting.

Freddie Hamilton useless. Stajan always gets his nose dirty and puts in an honest shift.

Two good games in a Row, and finally, finally, some emotion and a few body checks from this team.

Freddie was invisible. Stajan was fairly workmanlike.

Just in time for the yearly December winning streak! Great Win.
I've been hard on GG for the past couple games but he really got the team responding for the last two games.

Road Flames>>>>>Home Flames.
I'm okay with this, You have to win more road games in the playoffs. Just get a bit better at home and boom, cinderella season.
EDIT: Now is that two straight wins for a Flames goalie not named Mike Smith? Rittich mah man!

We can win games when our third line scores. So what is our record if Hathaway, Rittich, and Janko started the season on the big club. As well how much money do we save not picking up Lack or Glass. Janko is way more relaxed on the bench with Hathaway up. I can't believe how composed Janko is in all situations.

I already had my hands in the air. With Monahans finish I was like there is no way he doesn't bury it.
