Flames looking pretty sub-par this period. They can't seem to generate squat offensively, and our 1st line has gone ice cold.

My god Brouwer is so useless in the top 6. Get someone who can play in the top 6 on the RW side when Jagr, Versteeg, Tkachuk aren't available. Blah. Terrible.

I do agree with you that the coaching has been good enough. I would like the Flames to play a different way, but tonight and yesterday, Flames haven't looked that bad structure wise. Just not executing well enough offensively.
EDIT: Case and point with Brouwer, which is no surprise.

This is really the biggest issue. The guys just can't play the way its expected of them from night to night.

The team isn't deep at forward at full strength. Now they are missing 3 regulars. Very thin lineup tonight
