Really weird. Seems like he just got lost puck watching. Team looks very scramble whenever a team starts to cycle them, poor defensive system maybe? No idea, but Gio can't be doing that.

There's not much you can do when it's 3-on-1. How soft Hamilton is often a valid concern, however I don't think it's fair in this instance.

yawn. Not much going on in that period. Most exciting part was Smith's save on the breakaway.

That has nothing to do with the system **** me. What system in hockey teaches that? Please enlighten us all with your expertise.

Might be a systems thing, might be a players thing...but whatever the defensive mistakes are, they're a frustrating thing!

Hey Flames,
Just keep the puck out of your own net.
So simple.

Bad joke. It was the 3m and then 1st line after the goal.

Defense in general is killing this team. Molasses break outs and general confusion.

Little late in on the Brouwer goal but if you read Gio’s lips after he says to someone “keep the puck”!

Ferland lost his man and that froze everyone. Kid still has some work to do in the defensive zone.

Maybe because the players may not be fully confident in the system in place, resulting in poor spacing and defensive zone coverage. Calm down a little there bud

Flames played a good period. If they continue like this, they will win the game.
