Yeah, i subscribed to the bestbuy newsletter, and just got an email saying they would have a minimum of 20 units on friday the 24th in store, and will be available online at 8:00am MST.
i've already ordered mine off of sears.ca though, but if anyone's interested, i got the confirmation email saying it should be delivered by nov 30th, and they still have zelda in stock. =)

Red Steel is a lot of fun. The controls take a while to get used to, being a whole new way to control a FPS but now that I've put about 3 hrs on the game I am blasting and slicing baddies with ease. I struggled for the first hour or so and so did my roommate trying it out last night for the first time. Have patience, Grasshopper!

Yup. look to spend $45 for another wii remote and about $60/game. I think everyone on Earth is sold out of the nunchuk controllers. Those are $25.

Another rookie question. Do you need a memory card? Or is that all built in now?

It's built in now. But it has a slot for an sd card for you to save. Also you can use your old game cube mem cards too if you had one.

...you mean If you can get one this weekend right?
Zelda is the killer app it looks like. The next best rated game is Madden.
Here's some reviews for you

I think Zelda has to be there for sure. I'm also looking for Madden 07.

Definately Zelda. It's the highest rated game in history.

Wii sports comes with it. I'm waiting for Warioware smooth moves, supersmash bros and Metroid 3 next year.

On a related note
These new fangled game systems are too complex for me. The last system I owed was a Colecovision.
But I've been thinkin' I should pick up an old PS or even N64. I checked out a pawn shop the other day and they didn't seem to have any.
Where's the best place to go? What should I be looking to spend? Which game system is the best of the earlier ones?

I would go to cash converters and look for a dreamcast.

May as well just get a Wii. The system was designed with people like yourself in mind. Casual gamers that don't want overly complex games but some good pickup stuff to play with friends.
Also, you can download all of the old nintendo games to the Wii. It would be a far better investment.

I dunno. I have a hard time justfiying spending that amount of money on a system. I usually get bored pretty quick with them, unless they are hockey games, but I understand nintendo hockey games (apart from Blades of Steel of course) typically blow.
Good point though, something to think about.

Seconded. Best and most fun system of the past decade. Sadly forgotten or ignored in the PS2 hoopla of the day.
Sega Tennis is all you need. Plus you can run so much stuff on Dreamcast and burn games with a regular CD-burner.

I am trying to decide between Rayman Raving Rabbids or Super Money Ball.
Which is more fun with mini-games / multiplayer?
