Major mistake and while the GM has made some good moves missing on the head coach is as bad a misstep as you can have as a GM only gets so many coach hires.

PHI - flames deserved to lose; flames won

CLB - flames deserved to lose; flames lost
DAL - flames deserved to lose; flames lost - among the worst flames game of the year
COL - flames deserved to win; Flames won
TOR - flames deserved to lose; flames lost - among the worst flames game of the year
PHX - flames deserved to win; Flames won
EDM - flames deserved to lose; flames lost - among the worst flames game of the year
5-4-1 record is more than generous relatve to the way team played
The four loses were the WORST games the flames have played all year. The team increasingly looks like dog ####.

Green has really excelled and was considered the smart choice at the time.
I figure Tree gets 1 more shot at a coach and he better do it soon. If we surrender a top 15 pick this year thats devastating

Hate to jump on the bandwagon.
Gone by or soon after Christmas unless the team plays .750+ hockey from now until then.
Treliving’s invested too much in this season to let it slip away with average play...not just results but the below average level most guys are at outside of SM and JG and MG and MS.
Same goes for his assistants who are getting a free pass from criticism. Talent is there, and that’s Treliving. Talent isn’t responding properly or enough to the coaching staff, that’s more than clear. Not right, but it’s clear.
Winless against the Oilers should be a fireable offence on its own.

Gulutzan has to go, there is simply too much money on that blueline for the Flames to be one of the worst defensive teams in the league

When you have the perfect coach available for the type and style of game that the team should be playing for its personnel that is also a former 2X cup winner, it should make the staff a little uncomfortable.
