Do we really have to use derogatory insults? It's too much

I've stayed out of these threads since last year but the fact that this debate is still going pretty much says it all. The Flames haven't really moved forward much as a team under Gulutzan's watch and the things that people were concerned about with his methods are still glaring.

Why. People say things when they are mad
I hope that every single word spoke from flames players to Oilers on the ice is derogatory

I want to really like GG. Seems like a really good person.
But he's not head coach material. It looks like we got the dud out of Tortorella and Sullivan.

Yeah, "people say things when they are mad". That doesn't mean they're necessarily the right things to say.
There's a fine line between being competitive and derogatory and venturing across that line is never a good look. Take a gander at what happened to Andrew Shaw, for instance -- those were derogatory, homophobic remarks which have no place in the game.

It’s at the point now that I no longer want to torture myself by following games until Treliving admits he hired a dud and does the right thing.

Tonight was the tipping point for me. I've defended him for a while but I can't anymore. Winless against Edmonton. I'd fire him.

What bothered me most was GG talking about the last game against the 'Yotes as being "possibly the most complete game of the year" for the team. I didn't think it was anywhere even close to that. Decent. Maybe. Sloppy - in the first for sure. Better after that. But "most complete"? No.
If he thinks that was a good game, this one against Edmonton must look like a Picasso.

Completely agree. The Flames were lucky that the totes had zero finish for the first half of that game.
The leafs game.. Leafs were not good. Flames were terrible.
The Flames have not looked ready for any game this season. They have had some early puck luck in games but have not looked crisp and determined.
Who does that fall on? The players or the coach? It’s not both.

The buck stops with the coach. Especially in the salary cap nhl where you can not move players easily.
I've moved into the fire camp after tonight. You can't have efforts like this and detroit every 10 games.
Even worse... You have to have the group jacked up for a game like this on saturday at home against your biggest rivals.
Lots on the players too but gg hasn't been doing an adequate job.

Save the season and our draft pick by finding a new coach.

The Flames simply should be better than this based off the group of talent assembled.
Buck stops at the coaching staff.

I'm jumping on the coach firing bandwagon right now. This team has so much potential that is being squandered by inconsistent play and sloppiness and even if not all that is on the coach, we need a shakeup. This season has the potential to be great, but Gulutzan doesn't seem to get enough out of the team.
