Yeah I put that together last week. It's not obvious at all but when you think about it it is. Wasn't there a glimpse of the latest painting too that was the shape of a human glowing red with fire, alla human torch, did anyone else see that?

I think it's a sort of won the battle not the war situation. Don't know if she's out of harms way completely. Maybe the effects of him doing it aren't direct either. Maybe by being in texas more people meet up and allow other events to unfold. But by not being there to save her, these wouldn't happen.

The show is interesting in that you don't know who the "bad guy" is.... Sylar? Mr Bennett? Jessica/Nikki? It's driving me crazy.
Whoa, whoa - you can't get too bored with the 2 blondes on the show.... male viewership is up at least 20 points because of that. Next week's ep looks good - restores some of the animosity viewers love.
|
Did you see Claire's face after Sylar threw her into the wall!!!!! There was more blood and horror in that 30 seconds of Heroes then there has been in 6 seasons of CSI.

Good to see that HRG isn't the big bad that it seemed he was early on. A show like this needs characters that exist in greyness. Not everyone can be pure evil, or pure good.
Damn this show is good.

Remember that we have never seen Chandra Suresh's dead body. The only report we got was that he died in his cab. No police report. Nothing. He's still very much alive.

Yeah but they did show in that dream sequence Chandra's head being bashed to a pulp against the cab's window, implying he's very very dead. Those dream sequences seem to reflect reality. I think Mohinder will become a Professor X type of character, a guy with answers for the mutants.
My guess: Sylar seems to have all the powers possible (except for the ability to resist Winona-like lithe brunettes). To beat him, all the Heroes have to get together in proximity to Peter Petrelli so he can absorb all of them and become a super-duper Hero to faceoff against Sylar. Kind of like the Dinobots and Constructicons.

I was wondering why Peter didn't just absorb Sylar's powers when they fell. I mean I knew that he would use Claire's powers to heal himself. That was clear, but why couldn't he use Sylar's?
There's so many ways that this show could go.. Man, there is something really creepy about Eden when she talks to Sylar and they subdue him. There's certainly more going on there.

Yeah, they made reference to the fact that she had powers when HRG made her "convince" Elliot to paint Claire's future. She's quite persuasive, with or without powers though.
Anyone else feel like a creep for perving on the cheerleader? You should!! She's 17!!

"Save the cheerleader, save the world!"
WORST. TAG. LINE. EVER.
I probably heard that no less than 25 times during the Sunday night Broncos-Chargers game. Turned me off completely. I think that campaign probably did the show more harm than good. I can't see it drawing in any new viewers over the age of 17 and probably drove a few, like myself, away.

The tag line changes.. It wasn't Save the Cheerleader, Save the World until Hiro came from the future to tell that to Peter.
So you can watch now.

I love that tag line . . . . a wonderfully effective newspaper ad using it as well.

With Monday Night Football being a complete joke now with terrible matchups, I'm watching Hero's every week now.

Finally watched the most recent ep on PVR today... some interesting loose ends being tied up here. The origin of all the characters... interesting.
Except for JoeBoo working for Mr Bennett. Everyone had their bit explained except for him. Great storyline with Hiro and Charlie...loved the imagery when he ended up in the calisthenics yard.
Takers on the Hero to exit next episode? Is DL too obvious being a secondary character and currently in the sights?

yeah my thoughts exactly on this showdown...
peter and sylar both absorb people's powers... one through good ways and teh other through bad. Sylar has to kill people to get their powers (cuts off their heads and takes it from their brains somehow), and peter helps them when using their powers...
sylar kills the radiation guy steals his powers, then blows up NY (or woudl have anyway)... but peter gets his gang together and now that sylar has not absorbed claires powers he can be killed. Hence, save the cheerleader save the world

My bet is on the Adrian Pasdar character. He will have the opportunity to step up and do the right thing and will, but it will cost him his life.
Although Greg Grunberg has a habit of getting killed off on shows he's in (see Lost) so maybe he'll be the one to get offed.

But Peter only gets their powers temporarily doesn't he? As soon as they leave, he's powerless.
In the preview for next week, I found it funny that Claire would wear a Cheerleader outfit all the way to NY from TX.
Some interesting facts about Adrian Pasdar I found out while researching Jiri's comment:
- His father, Homayoon Pasdar, was a cardiac surgeon who was born in Iran and moved to the United States, working as a surgeon near Philadelphia.
- One day, while constructing a set, he cut off the end of his left thumb.
Nathan Petrelli's an interesting choice to off - but didn't we see in Hiro's headlines that he won the election? Applying the laws of TV logic - you'd never off a major character this early on. It's got to be a secondary character. Issac Mendez?
