I feel as if Monahan's tendency to veer towards open ice is a gift and a curse. Works when you catch the opponent sleeping, but when the opponent is playing like the Leafs tonight, it doesn't seem to give Gaudreau any support and he gets quadruple teamed. I'm not sure what the solution is but we're going to need to figure it out.

Somewhat predictable 1st game back after a road trip, I agree they will be much better against Arizona. That game Saturday against Edmonton has me anxious.

The 4th line? Well, Stajan's done as an NHLer. Versteeg and Brouwer are well past their best and Lazar and Freddie look like they'll never amount to anything as NHL players.
