This is what it looks like when the top line can't produce for a game.

If the first line doesn't show up this team just has nothing. This is seriously bad hockey.

Flames asleep at the wheel, just walking around giving the puck away everywhere. You’d think Gully would call a timeout and rip these guys but he just stands there emotionless. Odd that his guys seem so flat sometimes, I just can’t figure out why that might be.

Babcock may be a better coach, but I know one thing about him - he has the exact same views on RH/LH defence.

The much talked about Flames defence is allowing 33.1 shots against per game good for 26th in the league. Either our players are overrated or the coaching system is no good. The truth is probably somewhere in the middle.

Hence the need for another actual top 6 winger.

Leafs play as a unit and their puck support is seriously impressive. The Flames have given the puck over a ton of times tonight just like against Dallas the other night. What a putrid effort.

Anxiousness is an apt emotion.

To the bolded...ahem: WHAT?
No. The Leafs have been bad for a long time before last year. They had a shot in the arm when they drafted Matthews, but they made the playoffs once in 11 years before last season, and that was the lockout shortened season.
You know, you make some good points now and then, but when you just make #### up to fit your narrative, I completely discount everything else you say. If you want to be taken seriously, you have to stop doing that.

so how do you think they choose to fix that? replace the somewhat overrated d, or the coach who kinda doesn't know what to do with 'em?
