Flames (and Hamonic in particular) are just terrible at entry denial. It costs us so much zone time because defensemen are too selfish to step up and be aggressive.

I think our D can flat out SKATE and that is very important. We are faster on D than previous years. It will all get straightend out when our bottom two lines start playing. Our bottom two lines are playing bad defense right now and not offering our D men enough help on defensive breakouts. It'll get better. Gotta let our speedy defense join the rush more often. I've already seen it a couple times in this game.

My god...Brodie and Hamonic are sooooo tired out there.
And yet, I've watched Hamonic make nothing but good defensive play after good defensive play over the last two shifts.
