Nolan Schafer who was a winner in his first two games dropped his first of the season as the Florida Panthers defeated the Dallas Stars 3-2 Monday night at the National Car Rental Center in Sunrise, Florida. The Panthers jumped out to a 2-0 lead early in the second on an Eric Belanger goal, and the Stars responded scoring twice but Iyla Kovalchuk netted the winner aT 6:07 of the third period to seal the vicotry.

"We just got beat by a better team tonight. Our PP was strong, and we had a lot of shots, but the Panthers just prevailed," explained Marc Crawford after the contest. This is the second game this season that the Stars have dropped to the Panthers.
