This probably isnt' the thread for bashing the league and the game itself. Unless you are just venting after the Grey Cup loss, in which case maybe you care more than you admit.

just last week i thought that nobody could make a worse play/play call than Maas not going for it. nice to see the stamps, primarily Jorden, step up and eclipse that.

No one was behind Jorden there.
There was nobody but Jorden on that side of the field. It was just a bad play call as the Argos sniffed it out and Jorden did what Jorden does and is careless with the ball. Handing the ball off twice there likely wins the game.

No, not really... Have you read many of the posts in this thread if calling me out for bashing the league and game itself ?

Almost every other play calling wins the game, even what would appear to be the dumbest possible plays. Run backwards twice then kick the ball through the end zone. Hit the upright. ANYTHING but go for a low % play that TO was 100% aware of.

I'm in total disbelief here.

Don’t think there is any video, certainly wasnt on the broadcast, but what happened after the INT?

The guy wasnt touched and ran out of the end zone back into the field celebrating. Did he toss the ball or spike it or whatever? I know the Argos came out and celebrated and got the call against them, but if for some reason he spiked it it would be a live ball.

This is worse. It took a whole series of bad coaching decisions to blow it.

Garbage player. GTFO Jorden.
This loss is entirely Dickenson's fault. A passing play should have never been called on 1st and goal from the 6. You run the ball twice, and if you don't get a TD you kick an easy FG and go up by 11 points.

2 years in a row this clown has cost the Stamps a Grey Cup, time to start looking for a replacement head coach.

Even still, it doesn't matter. Trestman knew the stamps wouldn't run it there. They never do. It's easy money.

i will be renewing season tix but am really tired of this script yet again. Since the early 90's, this team should have at least 3 or 4 more cups. Winning 1 cup with Flutie was pathetic. Winning 1 cup between Garcia and DD is also pathetic.

Yep. As soon as I saw the team line up for the snap I had a feeling of dread.

Imagine how the Buffalo Bills and their fans felt after losing 4 straight trips to the Super Bowl. Always helps to remember it could be worse.

Trestman is a great coach and he got the most from this team and Ricky Ray. They adjusted at half time to generate some offence and make it game.

Jorden caught the ball, right? So I say that was a good call. Unfortunately instead of going down for the first down, Jorden dove for more yardages and fumbled. That is not on Mitchell or Dickerson. You can't blame that mistake on anyone other Jorden.
Only question I have was, where were the other players. The only player came close of tackling Vaughn was Mitchell.

TO was not coming back from an 11 point deficit not in terrible weather. Even being down 8 they were in tough the fumble return completely demoralized the Stamps. Otherwise Calgary had a good chance to shut the Argos down.

McDaniel isn’t wrong, but you can’t throw a teammate under the bus. If I was the coach I’d ship him out, toxic attitude

QR77 reporting lots of emotion in the stamps room. Mcdaniel calling out Jorden for fumbling - play- on TSN now too. Emotions running high.

DD has always had a weird thing about thinking he's smarter than what standard football logic would dictate.

He's constantly making risky calls when it isn't necessary and then it blows up in his face. Cost his team back to back grey cups is bad.

Feel bad for Jorden. Young guy and he looked crushed in the post game interview. Didn't help that it seems like some of his teammates turned on him. McDaniel absolutely ripped him in his interview. Classy.

Deja vu to the mid-90's: best in the CFL during the regular season, only to blow it in the playoffs. Only difference is that the losses are coming during the Grey Cup, not the West Final. Heartbreaking at the time, now seeing it again 20 years later
