Rittich 33 of 35 saves in the win. 2nd star of the game. He just keeps reminding the organization he is ready.
Save percentage for season now in 6 games: 0.931 for 5th in the AHL. Right behind Demko and Hutchinson.
I think we have a viable backup option if Lack continues to falter.
I agree with several posters. Lack likely gets one more start in back to back game coming up. If he falters he will get waived and Rittich comes up. Too much at stake for us to experiment with Lack any longer.
Rittich has done everything right to earn that opportunity.
I dont think backing up Smith would hurt his development. The difference in number of games played is not much given how short a season there is in Stockton and Flames organization philosophy to play "higher ceiling" Gillies more.
6/14 so far X 68 total games = 29 games projected in Stockton
15-20 Flames games given Smith typically plays around 60-65 games per season.

I agree with your reasoning - hopefully the organization does as well. havent seen anything yet in Lack that inspires confidence. And I also think Gilles needs to play a LOT to improve.
How has Foo looked? He sure isn't producing the way you woild hope.
I dont watch any more than highlite packages so I cant comment on his play, but he has 1G,4A in 15GP. He isnt producing they way we all hoped early on.
I'm still disappointed that Wotherspoon is still being given time to play the string out, I would have given Falkovsky his contract spot (as IIRC that was the issue with his departure) and his roster spot in the A. I expected the Flames to let him walk, not requalify him.

It's not like Falkvosky is doing great in the AHL is he? I don't think we lost a future NHLer.
