Is Copeland for sure leaving next year or is that just a rumour?

Boerigter would be a good fit again. He likes to dance and would probably really bring his groove into form with Lewis, Copeland and Rambo leading the way!

Copeland's just speculation. The guy's been saying the right things in the media about wanting to stay here, and even stating in public that he's willing to take a paycut to be a Stampeder...I'm not sure if he's worth coming back, but a cheaper Copeland will be alright in my books, I guess.

I'd cut Thurmon first, personally.

Rumour (from the papers)has it that Cahoon hasn't been offered a contract by the Al's either, and that he wants to be closer to his family in Utah next year (read: Calgary or Edmonton).

However - the new SMS kicks in in about 35 minutes, so it'll be interesting to see what happens in the next six months.

He's been banged up over the last couple years ... I hope he still has his speed.

I would guess Copeland is gone just based on salary and production - he doesn't seem like the type to re-negotiate. And your better off IMO - Boriegter is a better player and has a better attitude. It's going to be an interesting off-season. I think alot of coaches will change places and I think there may be a QB shuffle in the works as well - initiated by Toronto...

Copeland has stated more than a few times since being eliminated that he's willing to take a paycut in order to stay in Calgary...

I'd rather see Copeland relegated to 3-4, and Thurmon cut.

Ain't that the truth. Stamps should have guy they have and then some scouring every league known to man for QB's.

I hope they get rid of stupid Lewis. It's a flipping 1st down. Why do you need to celebrate? Iggy needs to teach him some class.

Burris 2 years ago stated all year and up to the day he signed with Calgary that he wanted to stay in Saskatchewan. Basically what I'm saying is - I'll believe it when I see it. If you guys keep Cope, no Cahoon. I'd rather have Cahoon over Cope any day of the week.

It'll come back to bite the Stamps if Cope is a scapegoat for the season. I'd love to have Cope, Lewis and Bo as the top three. I've never liked Burris, but there's not that much more out there to replace him with. Unfortunatly.

The guy I'd prefer to see go is Nik Lewis. I think Copeland gets caught up in the antics sometimes, but Lewis is the guy that routinely crosses the line both in terms of his antics on the field and his comments off the field (comments that he rarely if ever backs up when he actually plays).

Then we also wouldn't have to listen to "Copin' with Nik" on QR77 anymore either.

I think the guy that needs to be cut is Thurmon, and Rambo, and we go with Bo, Cope, Lewis, and Howell.

People are talking smack about Cope, but you cant blame him, for having a bad season, look at the guy that was throwing passes, he was terrible. When the only read your Qb makes is a guy that is triple covered, or a guy wearing the jersey of the other team, its hard to make catches.

We have a great trio of receivers in the CFL, the best in the game, all we need is a guy that can get them the ball and let them make plays. Howell has speed to burn and is a Canadian we can use him also, no need for Cahoon, hes 34 and the downside of his career.

Now only if we can cut Burris, sign Printers and get some peices on defence, we will be firing next year.

I'd sign Cohoon, just to keep him out of Edmonton.

Cahoon re-ups with Montreal.

Well, that was fun free agent thought for other teams for a couple of hours anyway...

Why cut Thurman? He was consistent, reliable, and one of our only good WR's (Not SB's like Cope and Lewis) last year. He is also the only prototypical tall receiver (6'4 I believe) that can get his hands up for Burris' errant passes and bring them down.

Even though Boerigter is another tall WR, no one knows how he will perform under this offense and in the CFL again after his injury. If anything, Brett Ralph is the guy that goes.
