I'm not saying there isn't flaws on Miami's team. Theres lots, running today was one of them, they did run all over Chicago though, Minny's run D was amazing today.
10-6 will get the 6th wild card this year, look at it right now 6-4 is KC at #6.
They will lose two more at least, look at there schedule.

Anyone who had the top pick in their fantasy draft and didn't take Tomlinson probably wants to shoot themselves right now. Not liking the fact that Denver goes into KC to play a wounded Chiefs team coming off a loss.
At this point I think the AFC West is now San Diego's to lose. They've played all their toughest games so far and will likely finish 13-3. I still can't figure out how they looked good against everyone else but lost to the Chiefs, even with that cheater Merriman in their lineup.
Also Drew Brees throws for 510 yards but his team puts up 16 points and loses. Those three interceptions inside the 10 really hurt. Colston also went down, and the Panthers win so all in all a tough day for the Saints fans.
Crazy as it sounds San Francisco now looks like they have a legitimate shot at a playoff spot. I liked seeing Nolan wear the old time suit out there today.

LT...what else can you say? He has more TD's than 18 other NFL teams.
Dis, Im wondering if you are starting to wonder about Plummer and maybe not letting Cutler get his teeth cut?
This is a charger D that was missing two of their top 3 starters, and Plummer looked average at best.
Eek...Chargers just look scary.
|
Too much at stake this late in the season to give Cutler a go.
I think you'd like to have a game to give and a home game for him to get his first start. They don't have a game to give and as shaky as Plummer has been this year at times he isn't going to be phased playing in Arrowhead on Thursday night....not a friendly place for Jay Cutler to start his first NFL game.
No doubt in my mind that Cutler will be the Broncos starter next season though.
I think the Broncos will be lucky to make the playoffs now. They will lose in KC on Thursday and in San Diego. That's 11-5 at best. The season ended tonight because they can't win in San Diego or Indianapolis in the playoffs. If they lose in KC, and I think they will, you might just see Cutler start against Seattle the followin week.
Not to sound like a sore loser, but I'd really like to see the delay of game penalty become a personal foul in the last two minutes of a game. Classless acts and they don't get called at all 9/10 times. I about fell over when they called it tonight against SD. Make that a 15 yarder and an automatic 1st down and maybe reeling defensive players would think twice before cheating.

As you said, it isn't called 9 times out of 10, so 5 yards or 15 yards is irrelevant since it isn't being called. As it was, there was a penalty and, more importantly, the clock stopped. I'm sure the player who got that penalty heard about it. It isn't the yardage, it's the clock.
Olshansky getting ejected was the right call, but in his defense, was the centre the only guy who actually threw a block on the spike?

Another game the Saints gave away, they drive up and down the field only to throw picks in the endzone, fumble at crucial times, and give up huge plays on d late, what a frustrating game, Saints should have been up huge at halftime. Good thing that 9-7 will likely get you into the playoffs in the NFC, we still have a share of first place, and apparently Colston's ankle is only a sprain, phew.

The Colts losing sucks, but my god it's going to be so nice not to have to hear about "can they go undefeated" for the rest of the season. Colts just didn't play well yesterday plain and simple, too many mistakes. However that was a real rough part on there schedule 3 of 4 on the road up against Denever, New England, Buffalo, Dallas. The Colts really struggle in blocking against 3-4 defense's, Indy better find a way too because I have a feeling we might see the Chargers/Colts for the AFC Championship.
One thing I loves yesterday, seeing Vanderchoke miss those two kicks. Go spout your mouth off now you idiot.
The Bears have beaten one team with a winning record, the injury riddled Giants.
How about those Niners? One game back of the division now! Frank freaking Gore.

That is strange because they have sucked at home. I liked the shot that Ditka took at Bellichick and the way he dresses. I've seen hobo's dress better than Bellichick. I mean you don't have to wear a suit, but for chrissakes stop stealing your clothes from homeless people. They need them more than he does. Pats might be the team that goes on the road and buggers up someones season come January.

Yeah, I know the clock stoppage is more important, but 15 yards and an automatic first down would do more to deter the problem. This is something that should be addressed with the competition committee.
How can you defend Olshansky at all? It's irrelevant whether Nalen threw a block or whether he was the only one.

Because on the O-line there was one guy who threw a block, and it was at Olshansky's knees. I said the penalty was a good call, but I'd imagine any player would be choked to see a guy blocking like that on a spike. Was it legal, yes. Was it dirty, I thought so.

I enjoyed watching the other Manning go down in flames last night. They are two gifted QB's but hey I am a Cowboy fan and them losing was all good for Dallas.
Romo is sure filled with confidence. During a botched play when they were still down in that Colts game there was a picture of him laughing it up with the boys in the huddle. Very confident looking young man and that super fast release is going to server him well.

It was a weak attempt at a block. It certainly wasn't full speed. Olshansky's two punches were though. I guess it was justified though?

NOt justified but when playing against the cheapest line in the league and a guy goes that extra step to take a cheap shotI can understand why he did it. He certainly deserves any punishment he recieves and it was a stupid move, but with the numerous borderline and illegal blocks that Nalen has given out in his career it isn't surprising that a DL reacted like this at some point.
At least nobody from SD came in and tried to kick Nalen in the head while he was on the ground.

I said from the get go that his ejection was the correct call. I can just see why Olshansky did it.
If it wasn't the Nalen, but was the Raider's centre that threw that block, I wonder if your response would be different?

Sorry, I understand what you are saying now.
No, my response would not be different if it were a Raider throwing the exact same 'block' that Nalen threw. It was about 1/4 speed and harmless.
I don't have a link, but the NFL has fined both players. Olshansky 10K and if I heard correctly Nalen got a $25K fine.
Fitting for such a 'cheap' player.

I hope the Chiefs defence plays better against him than they played against Matt Leinhart.
Checking the Chiefs injury report Brian Watters is listed as probably which is good news for Chiefs fans, but Tony Gonazalez, and Derek Johnson are questionables. I personally think the Chiefs need TG to win this game. With Gonzalez you can get a few throws to him with safety's and linebackers covering him. In turn Denver can't stack 8 or 9 guys in the box to key on Johnson. Eddie Kennison likely doesn't catch a single pass against Champ Bailey, and Sammie Parker vs. Deront Williams matchup sitll favors the Bronco's unless Parker holds on to the ball. Goofy as it sounds the Chiefs may need their defence to win this game. If the Chiefs win I think they make the playoffs. If they lose, than I think they can start planning vacations to somewhere warm in January.

Glad to hear Gonzalez is in the game tonight for the Chiefs. He's been playing terrific this season.
Listening to this other game and the Westwood 1 announceres are taking quite a few shots at Detroit. The crowd was chanting fire Millen. The crowd is probably right.
