Would be nice if the defense can hit the net. Playing like wideman shooting every damn thing wide

So frustrating watching the Flames attempt these stupid muffin passes the opposition is just feasting on. I know the theory is close puck support with short passes, but they don't seem to have any idea where their support is, so it's always a turnover.

It makes me physically angry that they simply can’t get up for games. I don’t understand it.

their 5 on 5 play is ok, but they've melted down pretty easily the past couple. the two seeing eye shots from out of nowhere are frustrating. reminding me of the playoffs again. not a single break outside of that good smith save on the sh chance

Versteeg not very smart...you had to know the refs we're gonna be all over this game with both teams having suspensions in their previous games.

I can't stand Elliot. If he plays lights out for the rest of the game, I'll be angry.
If Dougie had hockey smarts, he would be a top 3 D in the NHL. He does not make good decisions.

Just not good enough thus far. Something has to change or this team will be chasing the rest of the season.
Looks like more of the same today.

Not going to amount to much when the team is below average at everything.

They were better against the wings for about the first 5 minutes, and were still a defensive tire fire even when they were playing well against the Canucks. Not remembering what I want. You can’t argue it hasn’t been an issue this season.

every game i think the same thing, this team built on defense cant play defense, that is an issue. i understand treliving's thought pattern when acquiring Hamonic but these guys either cant play defense or the system the coach has them playing is all wrong. whoever is in charge of the penalty kill needs to go, this has gone on far too long.

I would like to know the win loss record when Canadian teams play U.S teams in afternoon games played in the States. It can't be good for Canada.

Hamilton and Brodie just seem lazy this year and outside of a couple games don't look inspired to put out their best performance.
The reason they didn't make good on the PP was they were standing still, the d-men especially. Gaudreau got a chance because he was skating. It's as simple as that.

He’s let in 3 goals on 12 shots, two of which have no business finding the back of the net. Most teams would have made a change. Not Glen though, he’ll wait until the game is out of hand.
I’m not blaming Smith either. The Flames are over-playing an aging player, and to me it looks like he’s been rushed back. The fact the Flames have such little confidence in their backup is concerning, and it needs to be dealt with sooner rather than later.

Couple things:
- Mike Smith doesn't look in top form, those two goals were uncharacteristic of him.
- our special teams are terrible right now, they need a lot of work
- that Vorachek penalty seemed like the refs were repaying us for the terrible Versteeg penalty call they made. How is that a penalty? We got scored on so they were looking to give us a pp to get it back... Such a load of cr@p
