Odd question about women's boots

My mother is looking for a new pair of boots, and her feet are slightly wider than what normal width shoes/boots are. However, the wide sized boots also tend to be for wide calves, which she doesn't have and she can't seem to get a proper fitting pair of boots anywhere. She doesn't want ankle boots or standard rubber winter ones.

Is there some store somewhere in Calgary that has something that works.

Ask a shoe repair guy how much it would cost to take in the calves of the boots if you found a pair where the foot part fit nicely. Also check out his work. It's real easy to butcher that type of project.
