That's what I've heard. He couldn't save Sunderland, for instance.

However, West Ham's training sessions so far have been more intense than under Billic. Moyes is trying hard to get the team in better shape, as fitness has been an issue.

He failed Sunderland, he failed in Spain, he failed spectacularly with United which I'm still suspicious was an inside joke by Ferguson.

His claim to fame is 11 years with Everton where he accomplished a whole helluva not a lot.

You could replace him with a cardboard cutout of himself and achieve similar or better results.

If he is your 'Hail Mary' then theres nobody there to catch the ball.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is facing a battle to keep Marouane Fellaini.

Fellaini's contract at Old Trafford is set to expire in the summer.

Mourinho is keen to retain the 29-year-old but if an extension cannot be agreed before Jan. 1, the midfielder will be allowed to negotiate a pre-contract agreement with an overseas club.

I'm indifferent really.

Fellaini is like a good 'Andy Carroll.' Hes a last ditch, Hail Mary, complete change of gameplan, but you have to admit, sometimes it works.

And he elbows people in the face. Usually Sergio Ramos. And while I dont like United I cant complain about people elbowing Sergio Ramos in the face.

Its just one of those things.

Manchester United will invoke options to extend the contracts of Juan Mata, Ander Herrera, Ashley Young and Daley Blind until the end of next season.

The quartet are out of contract next summer but United will move to secure the players’ immediate futures and bolster their transfer values by triggering clauses that extend their deals by a further 12 months.

It is understood that United have already invoked the 12-month option on Luke Shaw’s contract to June 2019, which will strengthen United’s hopes of recouping a bigger portion of the £28 million fee they paid Southampton for the out of favour left back in 2014 as the club seek to offload him next year.

Everton have failed in a fresh approach to hire Marco Silva as their new manager.

Telegraph Sport understands that Watford have been offered £10million by their fellow Premier League club to release Silva from his two-year contract at Vicarage Road but have, again, insisted he will not be allowed to leave at any price. It is understood that Everton are also prepared to pay Silva a salary of £3.5million a season which represents a significant increase of what he is receiving at Watford.

Everton had an initial approach rejected on Monday, when they made the offer of £10million in compensation, and called Watford again on Wednesday morning to try and enter into negotiations. No improved offer was made but Watford have argued it would be pointless, anyway.

Pretty comprehensive win for Arsenal, Spurs never looked likely to score and barely created any significant chances. Although if you're Lacazette you have to wonder what it is you have to do to play 90 minutes.

Kane still not fit shouldn't have started, first half plan I still can't figure out, winks was great when he came in again the only real good take away

First goal being a marginal foul and offside is annoying but not an excuse, every team has a few of those go their way and vice versa all year

Sanchez control on the 2nd goal was incredible, they deserved the win

Even though they won, the lacazette sub for Coquelin was crazy, not sure what Wenger was thinking

I just watched a recording of the early game. That header on Arsenal's first goal was one of the best headers I've ever seen.

Not like Chelsea fans have much to complain about with what they've done the past few years, but it surely must be annoying to see arguably the two best players in the league this year, De Bruyne and Salah, were once theirs. Salah obviously the signing of the summer, what a revelation he's been. Roma only getting £35 million for him in this market is embarrassing.
