Very unfortunate news. Could see Iginla joining him. That would be just awful for Flames fans.

Oh man that blows. Still love me some Cammi. Not that I think it's a good/bad move for the Oilers, but I wish he would have gone elsewhere. Poor guy is probably asking himself wtf he did to deserve leaving a contending team in LA for Edmonton.
A good former Flame like him deserved better.

A shooter for the top 6? Maybe they realize they have to split up Jesus and Draisaitl at even strength.

That has to hurt after this article last week:
https://www.nhl.com/kings/news/camma...gs/c-292940124
Quote:
Michael Cammalleri nodded in assurance when asked if returning to the LA Kings organization for this season was like "coming home" for him.
The 35-year-old Cammalleri was a second-round draft pick in 2001 and played parts of five seasons and 283 games with the team from 2002-03 through 2007-08. Before being traded in 2008, the forward was a component of Los Angeles' young core, which also featured Dustin Brown and Anze Kopitar.

Chia's made up for all his blunders by winning this remarkable trade! He landed a turd in exchange for sending off a steaming pile of ####.

Why would LA do that deal? I think Chia actually finally won a trade.

I don't get it. LA is off to a great start and Cammalleri is contributing. Also, if they really wanted Jokinen for some reason they could have signed him in the off season. Is there dressing room issues in LA or something?
This does improve the Oilers scoring however is really just a band aid solution to their deeper depth issues.

I see no reason for this deal from the LA side. What would they see as the upside on Jokinen? Is he still a shootout specialist??

Must be a pick involved? Maybe Cammalleri is injured for the rest of the season, and LA is exacting their revenge on Edmonton for them trading them 2 injured players?
Edmonton wins this trade. Why would LA make a move with how they are doing?

Like most others have said, this makes no sense from LA's persepctive, at all.
Trade a 0.5 PPG player this season for a 0.07 PPG player. 1 for 1. What dirt does Chia have on Blake? Must be bad to get him to agree to this.

Calamari is just a shell of a what he used to be. I'd rather have Jokinen.

Why? My only guess is to help their PK. Cammalleri is expendable if he's just sitting on their 3rd/4th line. Better to get a 3rd liner who can PK.

C'mon. JJ is terrible. As bad as last year was for Jokinen, it's only getting worse.
