My wife and I agreed this year not to do stockings for each other. She has these huge ones that her mom made, and it costs over $100 to stuff one even half full with crap like magazines, hair products, pantyhose, socks, etc.

My 4 year old keeps asking for a hyena. So I'm open to suggestions on that one.
Paw patrol toys for the 3yr old. Skis for the 10 yr old. Add in Lots of other random crap and anxiety inducing boxes of sh*t my wife finds somewhere.
I just want booze and dress socks. The talons on the end of my feet keep poking holes in the ones I have.

My 7 year old is just at the point where he's really excited about reading, so it's going to be a pretty book-heavy Christmas.
He's also really keen on electronics right now and I'm contemplating something like one of the Little Bits kits, but I'm not sure if it's a good value. Any experience out there with them? Is there enough reuseability to make it worth the cost?
An astronomy telescope is also a possibility, but living in the city I'm not sure we'll get enough use out of it.
Also, I'm thinking about snow-shoes for all of us as a family gift.

10 year old boy - Playstation 4, still playing NHL 13 on the xbox and says need needs to move up. "it's embarrassing dad" lol, and he also wants every hockey training aid that is out there and a few new sticks lol.. likely go with one new stick Trigger2 and a couple of cheap training aids
12 year old daughter - Laptop starting to take over the house computer most of the time doing homework playing with friends etc. likely time to get her her own. aside from that she is looking for lululemon and cash.he needs to stop growing up.

Is there anything you all have made a tradition for gifts? Now that my kid is a bit older I want to get something each year that he knows he can look forward to, and perhaps be done as a family. Thinking a game, puzzle, etc type of thing, but am open to anything fun and creative you might do!

We get a boardgame for the kids (and us) every year. My wife also gets a jigsaw puzzle every year that we all work on over Christmas.
