Paul Stastny seems like a really smart hockey player. In his interview on 960 he was talking about how one sign when a team is playing poorly is when they are trying stretch passes over and over instead of breaking out as a unit. He mentioned that a team might catch the other team sleeping a couple of times but it's not the way a team wants to play and a sign that they are off their game.
I notice that with the Flames too. Sometimes they get into that pattern where the forwards are cheating up the ice and it ends up where they are just chipping it in and chasing the puck all period.

So happy Bennett scored tonight. Jan was awesome and so was Jags on that sweet feed to Sam. Glad to see we got some secondary scoring tonight. Keep it up boys! Hell of a game!
Didn't see the whole game, but what I saw I liked So much scoring.
Ferland is a definite improvement on Brouwer on the PP, he's so much faster in getting those loose pucks on net.
These are looking like the 3rd and 4th lines we want, I hope we can stick with them for a while. 5 goals by the 3rd line in 2 games isn't half bad
Lack looked fine coming in. Rough start with an unlucky goal and the one-timer by Tarasenko, but gathered himself to bring it home.
Somewhat worried about Smith obviously, but if a call up is needed, it's decent timing with the rest of the team going strong. I also think we have okay options available.
I would expect the whole team is feeling pretty good about itself right now. They'll need that confidence on the road trip, it's going to be a rough one.
First game that I feel GG out-coached his counterpart. He recognized that Hamonic was struggling so he bumped him down. The team D was so good in front of Lack, I wonder is Smith"s puck retrieval causes them problems. Best game that the 4th line has played. Lazar still unlucky not too score.

Super duper fun game to watch! Defensive breakdowns need some work. But hard to complain when the team goes 5-2 in the homestand, the 3rd line is looking pretty epic, and the offence is coming alive!
Upshall is a dink. Tarasenko is such a beast. I don't know why, but I just love watching big Russian players who can shoot the puck with such ease. Nobody shoots like they do. It's poetry in motion. Always loved watching Tarasenko do his thing.
What a great game. Flames put in as good a 60 minute effort as they have all year.
Anyone else notice (and love) that Jagr seems to get away with a few more hooks and whacks to the hands than anyone else on the ice? Respect for a 25 year career I suppose.
Well Oilers fans, you've been whining that you never get a team on the second half of a back to back this season...have fun.

Great game tonight. For the first time in many years, the Blues were unable to intimate and bully us. Made me very happy.
That said, St. Louis is the dirtiest team I’ve seen in quite some time. Constant cheap shots, running the goalie, and crosschecks to the back. The amount of holding they get away with is unbelievable. Looked like 2004 sometimes tonight. Great we were able to fight through it.
