Is it just me, but Versteeg drives me bonkers. Soft on the play, always reaching when he’s defending (flat footed), and hangs onto the puck way too long which results in a turnover.

That being said, nice to see the win. I think bad luck on most of the goals against. Should have cleaned house with our play

Fell asleep with 15 minutes left, at 5 in the morning, after being up almost 24 hours... Rewind, and boy I'm glad I did. Great game. Aside from Johnnys streak continuing, glad to see the goal scorers. A lot of monkeys being lifted off backs (plus Läck getting a W.) Boost lifting that could be important in the future!

Eddie the Lack with the save of the game for the win!

I think Versteeg is pretty good on the 4th line but he really needs to be taken off the PP, he just kills play after play there and he has a weak shot.

If I'm not mistaken, the Flames have beaten all 4 of the current division leaders (Pittsburgh, New Jersey, LA Kings, and St. Louis Blues). That's always a good sign.

The really strange thing is why Florida didn't keep him. Looks pretty silly on them now.

Definitely a polarizing player. I look at him almost like Mike Smith's puckhandling. He attempts a lot of risky plays and doesn't really add much outside of playmaking, but in the end he has a net positive contribution. IMO just one of those 'take the good with the bad' players.

The game winning goal was kind of good though.

How was Bennetts goal? I ended up missing it.

EDIT: I guess you can watch those on NHL.com

Spoiled by AC most nights I guess!

Odd time to bring up this criticism after he scores the game-winner, but I sorta see your point. He's lost a bit of his jump, it seems. Hopefully, he's just off to a bit of a slump, because when he's on, he's one of the team's more important forwards.

Dirty area goal put in off of Jankos rebound.

He earned it.

he went to the front of the net and picked up a rebound. Allen muffed it, but it's a goal that you earn by going to the tough places on the ice.

It was good to see
