Credit to Gulutzan for swapping hamonic with stone after the first, they had a rough first period.
3rd line was great, Bennett quietly playing extremely well, finally getting rewarded.
It's funny, I feel like as soon as Smith was out the flames team defence stepped it up in that second and third.
This last few games should really help bring some confidence going into the road trip.
Fun game to watch, Hamilton blunder aside

Really impressive display by the flames.
If that JBJ line gets going, this team could be really, really good.
Kudos to Janko for a great game... hopeful that they can keep things going...
that's 3 scoring lines Calgary could have...
Ferly has been great too of late...Johnny Hockey has been one of the best in the league...

That’s huge, team will have confidence they can win in front of him. Good timing too, as he may be our starter next game.
Hope Smith is OK. Didn’t tune in until the second, ant sign of the injury in the game? Or was it the wrist from the other night?
Anyways, great win, loving our depth. For the first time in a long time I don’t regret anyone on our roster. Hell, even Brouwer is starting to look like an ok signing if we pretend last year didn’t happen.

that was a fun game. flames completely dominated a very good and rested blues team. score was closer than it should have been due to a few lucky breaks. really nice to get the regulation win. lots of positivity for all 4 lines. first 7 goal game of the season! hope the goaltending holds up.
i think for the most part, we have a solid roster (as long as bart doesn't ever play again). if we can stay healthy we can make some noise. what's most encouraging is that we drafted our best players and we have more nhl ready prospects pushing

Two weeks ago 7 goals in a game would have seemed a totally impossible feat. Let’s hope they continue to grow. Hope Smith is OK.

Hooray for depth scoring!!!
Excellent game by the Flames. The score actually flatters the Blues, as the Flames were the better team all night by a wide margin. Blues were just more opportunistic on their chances.
Janko is a beast.
Bennett finally got the monkey off his back.
Lack was solid tonight. Hopefully Smith's injury isn't serious, and they just pulled him early as a precaution.
All in all, a well earned 2 points before heading out on what will surely be a tough road trip coming up. I'm excited!

Toe to toe against the team with the best record in the conference. Well deserved two points.
PS Since Game 6 against Vancouver in 2015, I've always had a soft spot for 7-4 wins... so satisfying.

That was a great change by GG to give Harmonic some time tonget back up to game speed. Got to be hard with your first game back against the Blues.
While the Flames gave up 4 goals, I think it was one of their better games defensively, especially given how good the Blues are. The Ferland goal was a fluke, the Steen "pass" when his stick broke. The Blues were pretty fortunate to get 4 goals.
Edit: meant the deflection off Ferland a stick.

Just hope Smith isn’t out long term, not that either goal that got by Lack was his fault and that 3rd period save was a game saver. Great win.

I just want to point out that in 2015, Ryan Miller started off hot, and then got injured. Lack played the next 35-40 games and carried them to the playoffs with some huge wins over teams like St. Louis.
