See this totally doesn't matter to me. Instead we got the thread going earlier and were able to talk about the game. That is great. And then we got a detailed Game thread post later, also great!

I think we have the first laugher of the season. 7-1 Flames. Bunch of guys get off the schneid, Bennet, Brouwer, Jagr and Lazar all score for the good guys.

Great to see Jags back on my bday!

Turned 29 so i'm gonna say flames continue to break out on scoring and win 9-2.

I know it's kinda silly to bring this up when we have a ton of hockey left but if the Flames re-sign Bartkowski this offseason I will be extremely frustrated.

Glad Jagr is back and GG got the forward lines right!!! Pretty stoked to see how they play!

You got a problem with 29-0?

Yes and no. Boesser and Baertschi have been held scoreless in three of their last five games, and outside of their odd offensive explosion against Pittsburgh Horvat has scored only one assist in his last three.

21 year-old Bennett and 23 year-old Jankowski with 45 year-old Jagr.

I'm sure it's not the first time Jagr has been older than his two linemates combined, but it's pretty funny to see.

Having Andersson play last night would not have been setting him up for success. Playing tonight is within reason, depending on how he's looked in practice (how coaches usually decide these things).

For a certain poster who doesn't know what player development means.

Any word yet on whether Demko will be getting the start for the bad guys? I'd like to see Johnny light up his former teammate.

Stajan out (check)
Jagr in (check)

My hopes for tonight's game:

  1. Get 3 goals from our 3rd and/or 4th line. I don't care in which proportion; just score, guys. I become a pathetically unreasonable homer when I get thinking about how good this team could be if these guys start scoring.
  2. Play Stone on PP.

Flames 5 (4 + 1 empty netter); Canucks 2

Go Flames!

Doesn't Jagr being activated mean that one of Hamilton or Glass have to go to Stockton?

Average age is just under 30 years old!

Another observation, with Stajan out, that means either Jankowski or Monahan will get PK time

Yes, one of them or Andersson and I doubt it's him given they want an extra dman around.

But its important to have this information on the very first post so that people who don't have time to weed through a thread, have the information readily available or nowhere to find it.
