Just watched for it after you pointed it out. What a thing of beauty.

I don't mind Cassie, and actually was impressed by how quickly she recognized both of Johnnys ridiculous passes. On the breakaway where Ferland was hauled down, she was gushing and describing the play that JG made before any replay. Same with the Ferland goal, she caught the stick lift and pass live.

Too often the color and PBP people miss things until the replay, and sometimes even watching the replay they miss critical parts. I was impressed with her quick pick up of some of those details.

Can we talk a bit more about how monahan is a replacement level garbage man who sucks a bunch and also rides coattails-but also sucks because of his coat tail riding?

Basically, that guy is worthless and sucky. 11th in the league in goals on the 30th place team for goals.

I think the flames have made a huge mistake with Monahan. He's too sucky.

This team will never win it all with Monahan as it's top centre routinely scoring clutch, game winning goals.

I am really liking the penalty for willy nilly false OS challenges. That, and like everyone I was too fixated on Johnny in that sequence.

Some of the oblivious crap she says makes me wonder if she even watched the Flames. "Stajan having his best game of the season". She has zero positives and literally doesn't add anything to the game.

And Remenda is a homer? Are the Oilers even his favorite team? I don't think so.
Geez bro I'd love to see you spend 2 minutes trying to call the play and do the job to the bar you hold her to. I hope to hell her nor her family read this crap. Awful and bad at her job? Some brutal stuff in this thread, especially after 3 wins in a row. She take a dump in your afternoon cheerios or something?

No she just has an awful voice, other fan bases have complained about it too when she does the national televised games. It's just an opinion on a sports forum, but some people have to make it into something bigger. People on this forum always discuss other teams commentators and our own so I don't know why people see this as something that shouldn't be discussed. If that post gets you riled up then don't go look at last years threads on Wideman

[Sportsnet] should get Peter Loubardias to give a seminar for colour commentators. He can go on endlessly about hockey minutiae, but he also knows how to be brief and pithy when the situation calls for it.

While it may be just my opinion on a sports forum, it might seem like it’s a bigger deal because some posters complain about the same thing over, and over, and over.

Hate to break it to you bro, that's what a woman sounds like. In this case she is about 100x smarter than sombulotol Hrudey.

Also, what does legitimate hate for a stupid defensemen that cross checked an official and sabotaged the Flames have to do with the sound of a woman's voice?

Glad Flames won this one and happy to see them getting back on track. They are slumming it lately, need to get back into the top 1/3 where they belong.

She reminds me a bit of when Jim Peplinski was doing colour. He had some pretty good insights into the game, but wasted too much time trying to tie his sentences up with a nice bow knot at the end.

If Sportsnet really want to improve the audio component of their on-air product, maybe they should get Peter Loubardias to give a seminar for colour commentators. He can go on endlessly about hockey minutiae, but he also knows how to be brief and pithy when the situation calls for it.
Ah yes, Loubo's over-loquacious statements of the obvious. Never have so many words been used to say so little.

No one should ever ask Loubo for tips on precis.

As I say, he'll run on at the mouth forever if allowed – but he knows how to finish the damn sentence and let the PBP go on.

Was pretty fortunate to be at the Dome to see 2 incredible games last week PIT and NJ. Bonus time in both that didn't disappoint. Smith stood on his head vs PIT and Flames D just could not hold the lead in the NJ game but it was just the vibe of that game. Sometimes you can just sense at a game that a lead isn't going to last but yet somehow that the Flames in the end will come out with the win.

Not true, I gave an example of a women commentator who is quite good. I just think Campbell is amateurish. That's about it

If you didn't understand why I used Wideman as an example then ok then. The poster I was replying too was getting all pissed off about a few little comments, when it's funny because I've seen 10X worse on this site. Don't understand why some people can't stand other opinions on here but I'll move on.
