Flames battled and didn't totally have to rely on their goal tending. Our 3rd and 4th line with another sub par game. Something needs to change asap.

Smith made more than enough TSN highlight saves to negate the bad 4th goal. Gave us a chance to win especialy in the first period when we had our usual slow start to the game. My MVP for the Flames.

Can't believe how accurate Monahan's shot is. Just outstanding.

Bennett better wake the hell up. Lazar is a lost cause. I feel for Janko having to play with these 2.

and holy crap is Johnny on fire this year. It's almost Makarov like! He is as much of a factor as Smith as to why we are above 500 right now.

It was too damned expensive. Im fine with Hamonic, but the price was ridiculous for such a minor upgrade (if that) on Stone. Depth be damned. Andersons ready to go.

Seven points up on the Oilers. That's already a huge gap to make up and we just hit November.

Certainly he's a tremendous player and was NJ's best player tonight. If he had a brain though, he'd be a top 5-10 player in the league.

But he doesn't, so he isn't.

I’m always amazed these sportscasters and announcers can call the game with McDavid’s **** in their mouths all the time.

I think people are more on the “Why did we need Hamonic” train of thought than the “Why did we resign Stone” one. Not the Hamonic isn’t a good player, it’s just Questioning the need and whether it was a good use of salary cap and assets given what we already had in Stone. But like you said, injuries do happen.

I agree about Hall, the Oiler stink is off him and he was dangerous all night.

He'll never be a Selke candidate but he will get you wins when he plays like he did tonight.
