OT, his girlfriend kind of looks a bit like Naomi Kyle from IGN. Wonder if they are related.

I just think it is weird that we have problems with dressing up as some rapists and people who sexually assault women but not others. Connor McDavid could dress up as hitler for all I care.

In any case, there are some things that are off limits on halloween, especially for celebrities and especially for role models for kids. Rapists, nazis, racists etc are all off limits. Trump is basically all three and as much as his behaviour is on par with an imaginary crazy person, he's very sadly real.
Its so unbelievably hard to follow what point your trying to make.

At least he didn't start a Trump Team on his Instagram:

Quote:
Washington Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin has voiced his support for Vladimir Putin ahead of the Russian presidential election.
Ovechkin posted a message in Russian on his Instagram account Thursday announcing he's starting "a social movement called Putin Team," adding that he has never hidden his feelings about Putin and has "always supported him openly."
Quote:
"Personal awards and prizes - all this is great, but in hockey, just as in any business, a team is more important for a victory," the Washington Capitals' captain wrote Thursday on an Instagram message that was translated by Isabelle Khurshudyan of The Washington Post.
"I have never hidden my attitude towards our president, always openly supporting him. I am confident that there are many of us, supporting Vladimir Putin. So let's unite and show everyone a united and strong Russia!"

Hey Cowperson. It's nice to see you posting again.

This brings up a question I have seen elsewhere, but for which I don't really have an answer: When (if?) a Canadian team ever again wins a Stanley Cup, would they visit the White House?

My first response to this question is "Why would they? The American president carries no jurisdiction over any Canadian city, or the environs of a Canadian hockey team." I assumed that "visits to the White House" for champions in each of the four US-based major sports leagues has always been connected to the recognition by the national figure head of the achievement by an American professional sports team. Canadian professional sports teams are not American professional sports teams—the White House visit would make no sense in my perspective for a Canadian sporting champion of any stripe.

But this raises another question: when and why did this tradition ever start in the first place?

https://www.sbnation.com/2017/10/10/...champions-2017

The 1983 Islanders were the first Stanley Cup Champion invited to the White House... Then, the damned thing didn't leave Canada for the next 7 years. The 1991 Pens were the next team invited.

There's no reason to think that a Canadian team, mostly made up of Canadian and European players would get invited to the White House.

I was thinking if he dressed up as a 70s pimp, in blackface. With his girl as a hooker covered in bruises.

Yeah, boy, sorry for getting so complex there.

Some people are not happy with Connor's costume. Dressing up as a man who sexually assaults women (among other things) is perceived as bad by some. In fact, there are a great deal of costumes that are generally accepted as being offensive, especially for celebrities.

I am not personally offended by this but understand why some people may not like it. See, each person has what's called "an opinion". We are not the borg and do not share a collective consciousness.

Phew, that was a web of confusion that needed untangling!

Look at what i bolded. It addresses how you completely changed your view in 1 day. You cannot be mad about McDavid dressing up as trump because he’s a role model (McDavid) and shouldn’t do it then in the next breath say he (McDavid) could dress as Hitler for all you care. That so contradictory it’s laughable.

Phew, that was difficult explaining the confusion that is your posts.

I can’t stand Trump or McDavid but I thought his costume was pretty good.
