I'm 33 and I'm pretty sure its because of my drinking.

Late 30s and I would say I don't have memory issues. I would say some things are more of a blur these days (or just not as important to me now) like football results for instance. Can clearly remember games and trivia from my childhood/teenage years, but would have a hard time recalling a match from last month, let alone last season.

But on other trivial things like films and TV I'm pretty sharp and have no trouble recalling the name of some relatively unknown character actor and what I've seen him in before.

Early 30s, smoke weed all the time, memory is fantastic.

edit - Also do: yoga, meditation, eat well, intermittent fasting, mentally challenging work, listen to lots of podcasts and comedy.

If there are no clear causes and the problem is getting worse, if you haven’t already be sure to talk with your doctor. The root cause could be anything from a sleeping disorder to a mental health issue.

Try watching Jeopardy at 6pm. Then rewatch it at 8 to find out truly how stupid you've become.

I remember my credit card numbers, bank card numbers, license numbers and everything like that...even my mec membership number that I haven't used in twenty years. So that will be my barometer. When I lose those pointless numbers I will ship myself out on an ice flow.

I'm 59 years old and my short term seems to be quite good. I play a lot of word games on line like scrabble in my free time to help stimulate my memory.

That's actually pretty common. So much so that there's a name for it: The Doorway Effect.

I get it now. When you repost the same images you already posted, it's for the benefit of the CP members without great short term memory. That's just considerate.

I got this tested when I was 21, now 33, and my memory ranges from the 18th percentile into the 99th percentile. So I am a bit unusual.

My short term memory is bad. I wonder if it has anything to do with the year or two of bad sugars before finding out I had diabetes.

I mean, I like Stajan but maybe he is the guy who gets sent down instead of playing the safe route and sending down Jankowski. I think Jankowski is here to stay. I also can't figure out why Hamilton is here.

I have to agree with Captain Crunch on most of his rants about Star Wars, now I have a good memory but I can't remember half the stuff I read in all those books yet he has such good recall of it all. I mean I remember the gist of the story but he remembers so much details.

Sorry, what were we talking about?

My memory is great. Don't know what you geezers are talking about. And I smoked weed and drank all thru my 20s.

Most of the evidence supporting that is skeptical at best.

Don't even know how many times I've bought a tea from timmies and forget to drink it and don't realize until the next time I get in my car.

Just me?

Do you ever forget about plastic bags in you left in your bathtub and then call the police about it? Because that is likely a sign of memory loss.

I feel like my short term memory is actually pretty great. My long term memory, on the other hand, is terrible. Maybe I have no room for long term memories since my brain is full of short term stuff.
