Pretty much this.

It's just media companies trying to find news without paying for journalism.

Wow good one!

It's almost as if dressing up as real people and imaginary things are different! Who woulda thought?

When it comes to Halloween they really aren't.

Huh? In any situation, imaginary things and real things are the same? Are you from Narnia? It would explain a lot.

In any case, there are some things that are off limits on halloween, especially for celebrities and especially for role models for kids. Rapists, nazis, racists etc are all off limits. Trump is basically all three and as much as his behaviour is on par with an imaginary crazy person, he's very sadly real.

His girlfreind's Instagram account is public. I looked at a few of her posted photos with McDavid and almost all of them have comments about being a gold digger plus shots at McDavid for playing bad etc. I can understand posting pics for friends and family. But why would people make their Instagram accounts public for everyone's view/comments is just beyond my understanding...

But how else would people know she's dating McDavid?

He doesn’t even look like Trump. Either way, not a big deal.

Not surprising. Orange is the main color for the Oilers for the past 2 years.

No, it's almost as if dressing up as Trump for Halloween doesn't imply you approve of Trump any more than dressing up as Satan implies you approve of Satan.

Man oh man, who gives a flying F what his costume is. Christ, there's hundreds of Trump costumes in Calgary right now. The halloween party I was at had 3. Where's the uproar for the regular Joe's wearing them? If anything it's hilarious.

Oh wait, it was a stupid Toronto reporter who decided to creep McDavid and his girlfriend's Instagram comments and make a story out of it? So bloody stupid.

The worst kind of news stories are the ones just like this, where people make comments on social media sites and somehow people commenting becomes 'news'. Whoever wrote this story should be slapped in the mouth. McDavid didn't create any controversy. The idiot 'reporter' did.

Good for him for not being apologetic or playing into the media's hand over a nothing story.

So stupid.

Seems perfect to me, both he and Trump have idiot fans that think they are going to make either America or Edmonton great again whilst everyone else realises they aren't able to put out the dumpster fire, I'll give McDavid credit for not starting the dumpster fire though unlike Trump.

At least get the Trump costume right. White golf shirt, tan khakis, MAGA hat. Everyone knows this.
